Rent Asfodelo Italy
Holiday Home Rental Description
Sitting in an expansive garden of pretty florals, sweeping lawns and shade-giving trees, Asfodelo is the perfect place to get away from it all and unwind in the Sardinian sunshine. When you wish to swim in the clear blue sea, you can simply stroll through the gate onto a little beach; imagining a more tranquil setting for your Sardinian escape is hard.
As you approach the villa, through the blossom-filled gardens, you will be transported into a peaceful oasis where you can enjoy a week or two escaping from the stresses of day-to-day life in comfortable surroundings. The house combines the charm of a country cottage with contemporary design and inviting décor to create the ideal home-from-home for a family with children or for a group of friends travelling together.
Asfodelo is set mostly on one floor, aside from one of the double-bedrooms which is located on a sleek, mezzanine level enveloped by glass. On the ground floor, there is a large open-plan room where you can come together for meals or to watch a film in the evenings. This space has a comfy L-shaped sofa, a long dining table, and doors onto the garden. Here, you will also find the fully-equipped kitchen which has everything you need for making meals and drinks, down to a blender and a coffee machine. Two of the three bedrooms are also set on the ground floor: a room with two twin beds and a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Additionally, there is a family bathroom close to the living area.
Outdoors, the house is encircled by vast gardens and leafy grounds, which lead down to a rocky beach where you can swim and sunbathe in peace. If you wish to dine al-fresco, why not fire up the barbecue and eat on the covered terrace? Better yet, you could book a private chef to prepare an Italian feast!
When you wish to get out and see some of your surroundings, you will find shops, restaurants and several beaches within walking distance! The much-loved Salina Bamba Beach, with its Caribbean-like water, is a mere 1.5km away, while the protected walking trails and marine area known as Capo Coda Cavallo is also easy to access at just 2km away.
Aside from the attractions on your doorstep, you can also visit many towns and villages within a short drive. These include the port town Porto San Paolo, which is 10km away and is the boarding point for boat trips to the nearby islands. San Teodoro is another option and is 12km away by car. This charming town has a long, rich history reflected in the winding streets packed with shops, restaurants, cafes and ancient churches.
If you would like to spend one of your days getting to know a lively city, then Olbia is the place to go. The city is 25km away from the house and is brimming with religious sites, historic buildings and monuments, plus a range of museums. There are also stunning beaches at the start of the Costa Smeralda or the Emerald Coast.

If you prefer a beach with sun loungers and water sports, you should try the famous Salina Bamba Beach, which is only 1.5km away from home.
If you would like to visit one of the larger towns in the area, San Teodoro is a great choice and is just 12km away by car. This ancient seaside town is one of the island’s most picturesque spots and is known for the enchanting colours of the sea. The town started as a small village conquered numerous times and attacked by pirates regularly. You can learn more about the long history by visiting the local museum. The town also boasts a fantastic selection of markets, shops, cafes, and restaurants dotted around the historic streets, while in the evening, there are bars and a few nightclubs.
Another place to visit is Porto San Paulo, 10km away. This port town is the place to go for a sumptuous seafood meal, looking out at unrivalled views. There are three offshore islands which you can reach by boat from Porto San Paulo; Molara, Proratora and Tavolara. The trip to Tavolara island takes just 25 minutes and is one of the most popular trips with tourists. The island is an unspoilt paradise where you can dive and snorkel in crystalline waters off quiet beaches. Besides a handful of restaurants, the island is completely natural and a playground for those who enjoy scenic walks, hikes and sea swimming. Keen hikers can take a 6-hour hike up to Punta Cannone on the island with an experienced guide.
