Holiday Home Rental Description
Step into the heart of untamed Umbria in central Italy and uncover the timeless allure of Organic Umbria – an idyllic farmhouse offering a harmonious getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Inside, the large, two-storey house is divided into three cosy apartments, all equipped to the highest standards. The central apartment on the ground floor welcomes you with an exceptional living room adorned with restored stone arches, wooden-beamed ceilings, and an ancient fireplace. Gather with loved ones, uncork a bottle of fine Umbrian wine, and challenge each other to a friendly game of pool. On the first floor, the most exquisite apartment awaits, boasting an ancient stone fireplace, rustic wooden-beamed ceilings, and a splendid view of rolling hills, the shimmering swimming pool, and the Medieval Castles of Montelagello and Monte Vibiano. On this floor, you’ll also find the third apartment with comforts ideal for an intimate family retreat with a master bedroom and a kids’ twin room. The entire home is characterised by traditional Italian furnishings and time-honoured pieces transporting you back in time with its rustic charm. The ground-floor kitchen is well equipped for all aspiring chefs, inviting you to whip up a home-cooked meal from ingredients harvested at the estate. Surrounded by verdant greenery featuring towering trees, vineyards, fields and land used for the production of organic products such as fruit, vegetables and dried legumes, the estate is a true haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Lounge by the inviting swimming pool and soak up the sun’s rays on the terrace, or bring your meals outside to the covered pergola for an unforgettable experience. The owners invite guests to fully immerse yourself in Umbria’s rich food and wine culture by trying seasonal dishes and local artisanal wines produced in the region. You are encouraged to witness farmers at work, indulge in private barbecue dinners under the stars or learn how to make Italian specialities such as pasta and pizza. When you’ve scouted every nook and cranny of the expansive estate, it’s time to venture outside and step into the lush Umbrian countryside. Hiking and walking trails await just outside the gates, so put on your outdoor shoes and explore hilltop towns, magnificent lakes and fascinating forests. Those looking to indulge in the splendid local cuisine while learning more about the region’s history should visit Perugia, a hilltop city known for its defensive walls around the historic centre, and the medieval Priori Palace exhibiting regional art from the 13th century onward. Venture further to nearby towns like Assisi, Terni and Spoleto, each offering a unique taste of history, culture, and natural beauty.
