Rent Masseria Casa Bianca Italy
Holiday Home Rental Description
This wonderful home hails from the 1800s and was constructed as a typically Puglian Masseria. This is a vast, fortified farmhouse within a landscape of pastures and olive-groves, the house even has its own breathtaking church which can still be used for worship and ceremonies. In days gone by, this large home and outbuildings would have been filled with farmworkers who lived here in a village-like community. Today you can still see the original olive oil mill which is now set up as a dining space.
Bigger groups will love this home as there is plenty of space for everyone. There are 14 bedrooms here and many of these have additional sofa beds or the option of adding in extra beds for children, so there is flexibility here to create the ideal set-up for the needs of your party. You could accommodate an extra 10 guests comfortably when utilising these additional beds, which would be great for those who wish to have their little ones close by.
The masseria is set out over three floors; with an expansive living room available on the ground floor, where guests can gather together over drinks from the well-stocked bar. There is a formal dining space indoors as well as outdoors. The villa does possess a large, professional kitchen, though this is not open to guests. Instead, guests will be provided with a tasty, continental buffet breakfast in the mornings and you have the option to add in lunch or dinner services which will be prepared by the private chefs, meaning you do not have to lift a finger. You can also book room service or delectable picnics to take in to the grounds.
Outdoors, the house sits in extensive gardens with lawns and towering trees. There is a 20-metre swimming pool out here which is lined with day beds and sun loungers, so you can relax in the sun with your favourite book. The house even boasts a number of suites which have private terraces and outdoor jacuzzis!
This elegant house and garden is often used for parties and weddings. If you would like to arrange something like this, the concierge team are on hand to help with everything from catering to décor.
When you wish to explore some of Puglia’s sights, the closest beach is few kilometers away and there are many, many more dotted along the coastline; from serene swimming spots to glamorous beach clubs. You are also located just 3km away from the closest village and within driving distance to villages such as Cisternino and the city of Ostuni which is packed with historic buildings, museums and ancient ruins.

Enclosed by ancient olive groves and fragrant orchards, Masseria Casa Bianca is a rural oasis where you can enjoy some rest and relaxation with the ones you love. From the expansive garden you will be able to look out over historic villages and the Adriatic Sea, which you can visit with ease.
This setting, in the heart of Puglia has it all: long sandy beaches, idyllic hill top towns and historic sites, you can easily fill your days visiting the numerous towns and attractions nearby. If you are heading to Puglia to unwind, you can simply sunbathe on the beaches or spend some time in nature, exploring the many hillside walking trails or visiting the Torre Canne nature reserve.
The villa enjoys a delightful rural outlook, but while staying here, you will not be isolated as the nearest amenities are close by in a village called Montalbano. This quaint village boasts three restaurants, a supermarket and a butcher’s shop, so is useful to have so close. There are many more restaurants all around the Masseria.
Aside from these little villages, there are plenty of larger villages, towns and cities with lots to see and do. One great place to visit is Cisternino which is 11km away. Cisternino is not a tourist hot spot, so it is somewhere you can experience authentic Puglian life and food. The local speciality is barbecued meats which are prepared by the butchers in front of you, rather than in a restaurant, though of course there are a range of cafes and restaurants here too. The village is a lovely place for an afternoon stroll around the labyrinth of streets and historic buildings such as the Medieval Norman look-out tower and the Baroque church of San Cataldo.
One of Puglia’s finest attractions is the gorgeous city of Ostuni. This unmissable city is just 14km away from the house, so should definitely make your itinerary. Ostuni is a city which is perched on the side of a hill and sparkles beautifully as the light hits the buildings, earning it the nickname “the White City”. If you wish to book on to a walking tour while on holiday, Ostuni would be a great place to do this as there are so many hidden gems that a local guide would be able to point out to you. You can choose between lots of different tours including walking tours, cycling tours or food and wine tours. Saying this however, Ostuni is very walkable and you can easily wander around and discover the charms of the historic streets for yourself. The city still sits inside its original walls which now serve as a pretty walking route and inside the walls there are countless cafes, bars and restaurants as well as craft shops and markets. History lovers will enjoy seeing the ancient architecture, the civic museum and the gorgeous cathedral. While just outside the centre, you can also visit fascinating Roman ruins in the archaeological park.
If you prefer to spend the day at the beach, you will not have far to travel to find the nearest, named Lido Morelli. This beach is a sandy stretch with sun loungers and parasols for hire and water sports on offer. You can also head further up the coast to the incredible beaches at Savelletri or discover the wild beaches of the Torre Canne nature reserve.
