The simply stunning sea view Palazzo Massafra is a fabulously restored, two-storey original farmhouse, near the sunny south coast of Italy. This decadent detached property has six luxurious ensuite bedrooms, making it an ideal retreat for groups of up to twelve guests. The Palazzo sits in its own meticulously manicured grounds and gardens, with your own private pool.
Upon entering the communal space, guests are greeted by a reception room equipped with a stereo and Hi-Fi system. The adjacent dining room has six tables, where a complimentary buffet breakfast will be served every morning. The stylish bar is perfect for mixing cocktails at the golden hour, and sipping in the adjacent garden.
The ground floor has five exquisitely dressed bedrooms, each with the most funky ensuite bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, satellite TV, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, hand basin, bidet, and WC.. The bedrooms opens out onto the gardens, and its own mini heated pool. The independent access bedrooms 2, 3, and 4, have double beds, satellite TV, ensuite shower rooms, and their own mini heated pools. Palazzo Massafra is only minutes from the historic town of Massafra, near the south coast of Italy. The nearest international airport is in Bari, a ninety five kilometre drive north from your holiday home. In the charming town of Massafra you will find all the provisions you will need to cater for your holiday, and whilst you are there wander around the narrow streets, visit the Baroque chiesa of St Nicholas, explore the ancient rock hewn churches, and take a short trip to the medieval castle of Monte Sant’Angelo.
Spend the day at the sea side, with a choice of two destinations, Castellaneta Marina, and Marina di Pulsano, both with beaches of extraordinary beauty. Swim in the clear blue waters of Lido Azzurro, or sunbathe on the white sandy beach of Punta Prosciutto.
The nearby city of Taranto has a rich history, with ancient ruins, an old town, and the National Archeological Museum. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Alberobello, with its unique Trulli houses. See the cave dwellings of Matera, with its historical and architectural significance.
