Trullo Bernardo is ideally located in the heart of the Puglian countryside, not far to the lovely village of Francavilla Fontana and the stunning Parco Naturale Regionale Terra delle Gravine – known for its dramatic ravines, forests, wetlands, ponds, and wildlife. Of course, Puglia is renowned for its stunning sea and warm, white-sand beaches. But, in fact, there isn’t just one sea – there’s two – the Adriatic and the Ionian. Trullo Bernardo’s position means both sections of Puglia’s coastline are within reach. Beaches on the Ionian side can be reached by a 30-minute drive from the villa, while the beaches on the Adratic side are a 50-minute drive away. The coastal city of Taranto (30-minute drive) is a must visit. Walk the city walls, see the Aragonese castle, visit the Archeological Museum, and marvel at the Romanesque cathedral before enjoying some freshly caught sea food by the shore.
