With a backdrop of ancient olive groves and peaceful countryside and the sparkling blue sea to the front, Villa Crepuscolo sits in an enviable location in Puglia’s Salento Peninsula. This modern, four-bedroom home is the perfect choice for those wishing to visit some of the nearby towns and spend lazy days on the sandy beaches.  Villa Crepuscolo is a fantastic villa which really stands out from the crowd. Offering the privacy afforded by a private dwelling, but the sleek, modern design of a boutique hotel, this home is a lovely place to stay. The house is equipped with everything you could need to make your stay as relaxing as possible, including; Wi-Fi, air conditioning and TVs with streaming services like Netflix, all you need to pack is your clothing and your favourite book.  The house is set on one level, with the rooms flowing effortlessly in to each other and all looking out over the sea and the leafy garden. The sea is a focal point here and many of the rooms have vast windows and access to a wraparound sea-view terrace. From these windows, the golden light spills in to the rooms, creating a warm and welcoming home-from-home. The design style here is ultra-modern, with a monochromatic colour palette, poured concrete floors and wonderful, high-end bathrooms. The kitchen has the highest quality appliances and sits within the living space to create a sociable feel where you can cook while chatting with the rest of your party. With a garden of 10,000m2, the villa is set up for outdoor living. With such a fabulous climate, you will want to be outdoors as much as possible and the garden has been set up to accommodate this. Throughout the garden, you will find built in seating areas and small tables for sipping an ice-cold drink in the sun. There is also a summer kitchen next to a larger dining table, ideal for cooking and dining al-fresco. The focal point of the garden is of course, the inviting private swimming pool which offers incredible views.  Guests can access a number of restaurants and bars with ease and the closest beaches are just a stone’s throw away from Villa Crepuscolo, meaning you have everything you need close by, with the option of driving out to larger towns. Within 10km of the villa, you can visit the fantastic beach resort of Leuca, the hill town of Salve and the Roman settlement of Patu.  If you would like to take a memorable day trip, the oppurunties are endless; maybe you would like to take a boat tour in to the magical sea caves off Leuca’s coast. Alternatively, you may be craving a day of shopping and seeing the sights of a large city, if so you can drive to Lecce which is 70km away and packed with boutique shops and cultural attractions.

With the rolling Puglian hills to one side and the sandy beaches of the Adriatic Coast to the other, this serene area on the Salento Peninsula is an idyllic place for a holiday in Italy’s heel. Though secluded and overlooking the sea, you can reach nearby villages and towns with ease for shopping trips or dining out.  If you are visiting this part of Italy, then presumably you are beach lover! If so, you will be happy to learn that there are countless beaches here, with the nearest being only 1km away. This is a small sandy cove, but within a few kilometres, you will also find wild swimming spots and glamourous beach clubs, equipped with bars and restaurants. The clear blue water here is perfect for a dip or for trying out a range of water sports, you can even take sailing classes at Morgana Sailing which is 6km away. If you enjoy spending a day at the beach, then you should make time to head out on a boat trip to some of the nearby sea caves. This collection of ancient caves are truly beautiful to behold and are filled with amazing rock formations. A guided boat tour is the best way to see the caves of Capo di Leuca. and often also includes a stop off for a swim in a secluded setting.  In addition to its gorgeous coast, Puglia also has a stunning interior where guests can take long walks or scenic picnics in areas such as the Otranto Coastal Park. Bike hire is also available locally if you would prefer to see the landscape by bike. If this sounds a little too energetic, you can still enjoy the great outdoors on a relaxing wine tasting trip! There are many family run farms and vineyards in the 20km surrounding the house where you can taste wines, take a tour of the production areas and of course buy a few bottles to take back to the villa for dinner.  The house enjoys a peaceful setting, gazing out over the blue waters and the surrounding tree-clad hills. Within 2km of the home, you can reach a few smaller villages and hamlets which have a range of shops and eateries, you can find everything from pizzerias to Mexican restaurants without going in to a major town.  As the house is located just 5.5km away from the bustling resort town of Santa Maria di Leuca, known as Leuca, you are likely to travel here when you wish to peruse the markets or tuck in to a delicious lunch in a street-side café. Leuca is a town with beautiful beaches and a thriving port which is lined by fine-dining eateries and bars. There is a great range of shops in town too meaning you can shop for groceries or for souvenirs. The historic town is also just a great place for an afternoon stroll around the atmospheric streets where you can see centuries-old churches, the imposing lighthouse and the impressive Basilica.  Leuca is just one of the many towns and villages you can visit, with Salve, Patù and Morciano di Leuca just a short drive away. The city is Lecce is also well-worth the 70km drive as there are so many incredible Roman monuments and historic buildings for you to discover in the busy city.
