Villa Filara, situated near Carovigno on the southern coast of Italy, is a contemporary two-storey, six-bedroom minimalist retreat offering a breathtaking sea view and a serene countryside atmosphere. The 450m2 detached villa is set in its own enclosed grounds populated with ancient olive trees, and a pride of place private swimming pool. This architect designed, six double bedroom villa can comfortably accommodate up to twelve guests, perfect for a large family holiday, or a group of friends’ sharing.
The ground floor has a spacious light and airy open-plan living area, that gives access to a sea view terrace and balcony. The seating area has a dove grey L-shaped sofa, a lime green sofa, an iron grey swivel chair, and a feature enclosed fireplace. The adjacent six seater dining table is ideal for some indoor entertaining. The silver grey and stainless steel kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances, including a family size, American style fridge freezer, an oven, hob, microwave, and that must-have Italian coffee maker. A super stylish preparation island and breakfast bar with tall stools completes the picture.
The first of the simply appointed bedrooms can be found on the ground floor. Bedroom 1 features a double bed, while Bedroom 2 has two wide single beds and an exercise bike. The shared bathroom is well-appointed with a hairdryer, bidet, shower, double basin, and toilet. The lower floor has four further bedrooms, each with a double bed and ensuite shower rooms with hand basins, bidets, and WCs. Additionally, a bathroom with a washing machine and dryer is very handy.
The exterior of Villa Filara boasts an extensive enclosed Mediterranean gardens, with views across the local countryside. A super long Roman step entry swimming pool is fabulous for a few lengths before breakfast. Relax on the surrounding sun loungers and deckchairs, cool off under the funky outdoor shower. Take a stroll around the gardens and sit awhile to admire the views at one of the patio sets. As dusk falls meet at the alfresco dining hot spot under the veranda, and feast off local delicacies freshly cooked on the barbeque.
