Villa Paceco can be found in the heart of the countryside, near the lively town of Trapani, on the west coast of the Italian island of Sicily. Trapani-Birgi International Airport is only ten kilometres northwest of your holiday home. The villa enjoys panoramic views over the salt pans, from the medieval town of Erice to the Egadi islands.
In the town of Trapani you can find provisions for your stay, a Baroque cathedral, the Torre di Ligny, and the nearby Greek temple of Segesta. Take a tour of the local vineyards, then sample the wines over supper in a local trattoria serving delicious Sicilian dishes.
Spend the day sunbathing on San Vito Lo Capo, Spiaggia di Macari, and Spiaggia delle Muciare, swim and snorkel, then test your water sports skills windsurfing, kitesurfing, and sailing. Take a hike, or ride a bike and go bird watching at the nearby Zingaro or Stagnone Lagone Nature Reserve, then take a boat over to the Egadi islands.
The nearby town of Marsala is famous for its eponymous wine. Wander the narrow streets of the old town, visit the beautiful Baroque Marsala Cathedral, see the Flemish tapestries in the Museo delgi Arazzi, and take a walk around the Archeological Park, home to the ruins of the ancient city of Lilybaeum.
Go further afield and visit the must-see ancient Greek sites and ruins of Selinunte, and the Valley of the Temples at Agrigento.
In the evening wine and dine in Trapani, then dance the night away in one of its many clubs.
