Rent Villa Philemon Italy
Holiday Home Rental Description
Villa Philemon is a charming original Trulli house located near the village of Ostuni, on the sunny south coast of Italy. The villa is a clever combination of the marriage of a traditional home with modern comforts. This one-storey, ninety square metre, detached villa stands as a classic example of a meticulously restored local stone Trulli. The three spacious double bedrooms offer a tranquil retreat for up to six guests, ideal for a family holiday, or a group of friends’ sharing. This rustic villa is set in its own private grounds, set in nature, surrounded by ancient olive groves, with a centrepiece saltwater swimming pool.
Enter the villa, where you will be welcomed by a large, light and airy, open plan living space, with a double set of patio doors, which open out onto the pool terrace and gardens. The seating area has a light, comfortable white sofa and matching armchair, arranged around an open hearth fireplace and facing a flat screen television. The adjacent super spacious kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest SMEG appliances that you will need to cater for your holiday, including an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge freezer. There is a useful preparation island, and a separate breakfast bar with tall stools. A separate service room houses a washing machine, iron, and the electricity box.
Leading off from the living space are three well-appointed double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, bedside cabinets, a wardrobe, and an ensuite shower room equipped with a hand basin, bidet, and WC. Bedrooms two and three offer equally inviting king-size beds, bedside cabinets, wardrobes, and a shared shower room with modern amenities.
The exterior of the villa reflects the tranquillity of the Italian countryside, surrounded by fenced-in grounds populated with olive trees. The private saline and saltwater, step-entry swimming pool is the star of the show. Sun loungers, relaxing chairs, and a cooling down outdoor shower complement the pool area. A shaded veranda hosts a six-seat alfresco dining set and a barbecue, inviting guests to feast alfresco under a Puglian sky.
Facilities at Villa Philemon cater to modern needs, with air conditioning offering both heating and cooling options. Wi-Fi, a safe, and private parking. The added value options to hire baby amenities and request a private chef, or airport transfers can be arranged.

Villa Philemon sits in the heart of the Puglian countryside, near to the white city of Ostuni, and the traditional village of Cisternino, on the south coast of Italy. The nearest international airport is Brindisi, a scenic forty five minute drive to your holiday home from home. The charming sparkling white town of Ostuni is only nine kilometres away, with its historic centre, narrow streets, convivial squares, impressive Romanesque cathedral, and must-see Saturday market for local produce and souvenirs.
The nearest and best beaches are a twenty minute drive to the protected coastal marine areas of Torre Guaceto, and Santa Sabina, with dunes and crystal clear waters that are great for swimming; Pilone, with golden sands, and organised clubs; and Rosa Marina, the longest stretch of beach in the area, with public and private sections. Whilst you are there enjoy paddleboarding, wind and kite surfing, or a boat trip along the coast.
Keep fit with a cycle through the countryside, or hike a local trail through olive groves and historic sites. Tee off at the San Domenico Golf Course, or play a game of tennis at the nearby club. Take a tour of the many wineries, and sample a glass of Puglia’s famous Primitivo.
Visit the local villages, or go further afield and head north to the holiday hot spot of Monopoli, or south to the ancient town of Brindisi.
As dusk falls sip cocktails, and wine and dine in the Piazza della Liberta, the main square in Ostuni, then dance until dawn at one of the beach clubs, which transform themselves into lively nightspots.
