Enter the villa at the ground floor level, where you will be welcomed by a splendid marble hall and staircase. The sea view seating area has a cappuccino-coloured corner sofa, a laid-back armchair, a funky glass coffee table, a flat-screen television, and a fireplace for those cooler months and evenings. A monochrome kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances, which you will need to cater for your holiday, including that must-have Nespresso coffee maker. If you don’t fancy cooking, just ask the concierge team to arrange a private chef for you. The first of the five beautifully-appointed bedrooms can be found on this floor, with a double bed, an ensuite shower room, and access to the pool terrace. A guest WC completes the ground floor.

The stunning Master Suite has a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, a separate shower, a double vanity unit, and a WC. Double doors open onto a furnished terrace with sweeping sea views, perfect to sit and sip your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. The other two ensuite bedrooms have twin Ziplock beds, which can be made into doubles by arrangement, one with a sea view, and the other looking towards the hillside. On the lower ground floor, there is a bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite shower room. A stylish utility room completes the accommodation.
The panoramic, sea view and tiled terrace have a centrepiece, step-entry, and infinity swimming pool, with a separate Jacuzzi, sun loungers, and shady brollies. A sandy children’s play area has two swings, which adults have been known to enjoy too. A soft seating area is snuggled under the veranda, the hot spot for sundowner cocktails at sunset. Villa Mavro can be found in the newly developed Alexander Heights complex within the Aphrodite Hills Resort. Situated on the South West of the beautiful island of Cyprus, set in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. The resort is a short twenty-minute drive from Paphos international airport, a scenic drive along the dramatic southern Cyprus coastline to the valley of the Troodos mountains, where the villa is set with uninterrupted magnificent Mediterranean Sea views.
Aphrodite Hills Resort is a luxury, 5-star destination in southwest Cyprus, providing unique luxury accommodations and activities, with a comprehensive portfolio of a combination of both sporting and leisure pursuits. A destination that attracts and embraces families, businessmen, athletes, honeymooners, and dreamy stargazers, which could be why it’s aptly named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. The excellent on-site concierge team can organise holiday experiences that will make memories to last a lifetime, such as your own in-villa private chef. The resort is set in a gated community, which offers access to the Village Square, replicating a typical Cypriot town, with a local supermarket, freshly made bread from the bakery, a pharmacy, and a medical centre. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the array of food options, including Costa Coffee for that must-have espresso, a Haagen-Dazs ice cream parlour, a traditional Italian trattoria, a Greek kebab house, a spicy Indian restaurant, a Mexican taqueria, a pub, a tavern, and a family-friendly beer garden.
Play a round of golf on the award-winning, architect-designed, eighteen-hole PGA National Cyprus course, before enjoying refreshments in the inviting Clubhouse. Keep fit with a workout in the state-of-the-art gym, or take a class, before a relaxing massage in the indulgent spa and sauna. Get on a bike, and cycle around the local area, or take a guided hike to discover the local flora and fauna. Play a game of tennis with a professional coach, on one of the nine courts. Saddle up and trot over sand dunes on ponies from the Riding Club. Enjoy special beach access with complimentary sun loungers and shady brollies. Sip cocktails poolside under tall palm trees in the Mediterranean gardens, then catch up with fellow holidaymakers on travel tips in the convivial lounge.
Take a trip to the town of Paphos and enjoy some traditional Greek-Cypriot culture. Paphos dates to Neolithic times and is the birthplace of Aphrodite, and the old town showcases its history with an amphitheatre, tombs, ancient ruins, and a fortress. Discover more in the local Archaeological Museum, visit the monasteries of Agios Neophytos and Crystoroyiatissa, amble over the ruins of the Forty Columns Fortress, marvel at the mosaics of Nea Paphos, climb the steps of the local lighthouse, go underground at the Agia Solomoni Catacombs, and find solitude in the ornate Greek Orthodox churches. Take a leisurely stroll to the harbour to see the luxury yachts, sample locally pressed olive oil and delicacies, visit the handcraft souvenir shops, and then enjoy freshly caught seafood by the seashore.
