Guests can take advantage of the resort’s facilities, enjoying a refreshing swim in the pool or playing a game of tennis on one of the neighbouring courts. The nearby cafe is perfect for a post-match drink, where you can sit in the sun and watch others play.
Just moments away, the glorious coastline invites you to enjoy the day beside the sea. Take a leisurely stroll along the seafront or enjoy a dip in the clear Mediterranean waters. There are a handful of beach clubs for a bite to eat or walk down to the trendy Puerto Banus Marina, where you can enjoy a delicious plate of seafood at one of the waterfront restaurants. Wander around the marina to admire the luxury yachts and impressive sailing boats, or hop on the Banus-Marbella ferry and enjoy a fun boat trip up the coast, enjoying wonderful views back to the coastline.
Disembark in Marbella to explore the town’s vibrant culture, with traditional barrios and chic avenues lined with trendy shops and galleries. Wander through the older quarter to discover the narrow cobbled streets adorned with hanging baskets and typical Andalusian architecture dating back to the 15th century. Visit the beautiful Iglesia Santa Maria de la Encarnacion to see its baroque interior, or stop for a drink in the charming Plaza de los Naranjos, where you can grab an ice cream from Mauro’s Heladeria or enjoy regional restaurants. Marbella has plenty of choices for dining, or stop by the Municipal market and purchase some local produce to enjoy a picnic in one of the town’s wonderful parks. Once part of a private residence, the leafy Parque de la Constitución is popular with locals seeking a tranquil escape from the midday heat, or head to the Parque del Alameda and wander along the charming avenues with their colourful tiles and pretty fountains. The Avenida del Mar is also worth a visit. More an urban promenade than a park, this paved stretch extending down to the seafront features a series of bronze sculptures designed by Salvador Dalí.
With over 20 beaches dotted along the coast, there is plenty of opportunity to spend the day beside the sea and soak up the Mediterranean sun, or why not head inland and discover the region’s lesser-known landscape? Rising up behind the coast, the majestic Sierra Blanca mountains are just a short drive away, where you can discover the hidden hillside villages or take a walk along one of the well-marked trails. Wander through the pine groves that cover the shaded foothills, or choose a more challenging route and climb up to the top of the imposing La Concha. With a summit of 1215 ft, you will be rewarded with an incredible perspective with views stretching over the surrounding coastline and even as far as Northern Africa.
