Set on the hillside overlooking Marbella’s famed golf valley, this lovely modern villa features a sunny terrace and a wonderful outdoor pool where you can enjoy relaxing days in the sun and admire the splendid views down to the Mediterranean coast.
Situated in a quiet residential area, Villa Levanella enjoys a privileged position with a spacious layout and offers guests plenty of room to spread out. The large interior rooms are filled with natural light, carefully designed to make the most of the beautiful views, with high ceilings and expansive glass doors that open out to the terrace beyond. An integrated living area sits in the centre of the ground floor, minimally decorated with tasteful, modern furnishings. A comfortable seating area to one side with a smart dining table to the other, whilst a generously sized kitchen can be found to the rear of the room. Make the most of the warm weather, leave the terrace doors open throughout the day, and enjoy a fresh breeze whilst creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living space.
Extending away from the house, the paved terrace offers stunning views over the surrounding area and the sea. A central recess in the villa’s form offers a protected area where a large outdoor dining table is perfect for enjoying lunch beside the pool or entertaining guests with a barbecue. The outdoor pool is perfect for cooling off with a swim or lazing in the water whilst admiring the impressive vista, and a series of sun loungers are well-positioned on timber decking to the side, inviting you to dry offer and relax beneath the clear blue skies. To the far side, a well-maintained lawn features an olive tree and pretty planting, offering a more tranquil setting where you can spend a quiet moment or enjoy a siesta on one of the sun loungers.
There are five lovely bedrooms for guests to choose from, each featuring large comfortable beds and some with beautiful ensuite bathrooms. Sitting on the ground floor, the main bedroom enjoys plenty of natural light with large double doors that lead out onto the terrace, where a couple of well-positioned armchairs offer a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee whilst gazing out to sea. The rest of the bedrooms can be found on the upper floor, with a further terrace area where you can enjoy an elevated perspective with panoramic views over the surrounding landscape. There are a series of sun loungers to the front, whilst a dining table is shaded beneath a large sail canopy, offering the perfect place to sit in the evenings and watch the sunset over a bottle of wine.
A staircase sits in the centre of the villa, connecting each level, and a lift makes all the floors accessible. On the lower level, a luxurious home cinema is perfect for curling up in front of a movie, whilst an impressive indoor gym and games room will keep everyone amused. Situated on the hillside within Marbella’s exclusive Golf Valley, Villa Levanella enjoys a peaceful position, just a short drive down to the region’s golden beaches and lively towns stretching along the coast.
With its reliably warm climate, the area is popular amongst sports enthusiasts, and you can enjoy a game of tennis at one of the nearby clubs or spend a gentle afternoon playing a round of golf on one of the beautifully maintained courses. For keen walkers, the nearby Sierra Blanca mountains are full of well-marked trails where you can enjoy challenging hikes and discover the beautiful scenery. Head to the hillside village of Ojen to wander the narrow cobbled streets and admire the ancient Moorish architecture, or depart from the nearby Refugio de Juanar and follow a more demanding route up the top of La Concha. Whilst slightly challenging, the summit rises an impressive 1215 ft above sea level and you will be rewarded with panoramic views stretching down to the sea.
With plenty of beaches dotting the coastline, there is plenty of opportunity to make the most of the sunny weather. To the south, Playa San Pedro de Alcantara offers a long stretch of golden sand, inviting you to stroll along the shore or swim in the clear blue waters. The Senda Litoral coastal path runs along the back of the beach, offering a popular route for local joggers, whilst a handful of ‘chiringuitos’ (beach bars) nearby are perfect for enjoying a cold beer or plate of tapas whilst looking out to sea. Hire a kayak or enjoy one of the many water sports on offer, or head up to Puerto Banus, where you can take a boat trip from the marina. The Banus-Marbella ferry runs regularly between the two ports and is a fun way to see the coast from a different perspective. Stay aboard and enjoy a few hours on the water, or disembark in Marbella and explore the town’s vibrant culture.
The glamorous Puerto Banus is a trendy spot with luxury boutiques and exclusive art galleries. Impressive yachts and sailing boats pull into the harbour’s blue waters, letting their owners off to browse the shops or enjoy lunch at one of the chic restaurants. Wander around the trendy port and soak up the atmosphere, or stop to enjoy a plate of fresh seafood on one of the waterfront terraces, such as the popular Los Bandidos, which serves a delicious menu of local fish and international cuisine. Or, for a more traditional experience, seek out the locally-owned Casa Blanca, where you can enjoy the regional cuisine and share plates of typical tapas. With a buzzing nightlife, there are plenty of bars and dance clubs inviting you to party through to the early hours or head up to the Sky Lounge for a relaxing cocktail and enjoy the wonderful views over the harbour and out to the mountains in the distance.
