Rental Description

Situated in the leafy Nagueles neighbourhood, this lovely modern villa offers a beautiful garden with swaying palm trees and Mediterranean plants that create a tranquil setting to enjoy long sunny days relaxing with family and friends.

Arranged over two floors, Villa Terra is truly unique, with organic-shaped rooms elegantly decorated with stylish furniture and charming parquet wooden floors running throughout. A generous entrance hall is a central pivot point, with the main living areas spilling out to either side. A stunning kitchen space features beautiful marble surfaces, and a long island counter sits in the centre of the room, whilst neat contrasting cabinets are fully fitted with top-quality appliances. An impressive dining room sits at the far end of the room, where a bar area and large table enjoy views out to the garden. To the other side of the hall, the living room is the perfect place to relax, with two large sofas and a central fireplace set within a section of exposed stone wall. A series of large arched doorways puncture the front of the room, drawing in plenty of natural light whilst giving access to the terrace beyond.

Raised above the level of the garden, a paved terrace wraps around the front of the villa with an assortment of seating that invites guests to relax in the shade and enjoy views over the garden and pool. An outdoor kitchen sits to one end, where a large outdoor dining table is perfect for enjoying meals outside, whilst a more informal seating area with wicker sofas and comfy armchairs offers an ideal spot to share a drink with friends and make the most of the warm summer nights. Steps lead down to the pool terrace, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim, and a series of sun loungers invite you to relax in the sun or sit beneath an umbrella and soak up the peaceful setting. There is also a fantastic slide that runs from the terrace down into the pool, where both kids and adults will love to make a splash! To the far end, the vibrant garden is full of regional plants, with towering palms dotting the grassy lawn extending from the villa to a lovely pond where ducks come to swim.

Two-bedroom suites on the ground floor have large double beds and well-designed bathrooms. Accessed by a staircase from the entrance hall, the remaining rooms can be found on the upper level. The main suite is simply stunning, with a magnificent private bathroom and freestanding bath facing that looks out to a colourful row of flowers outside. Glass openings wrap the front of the room, inviting you to lie in bed and look out over the trees, or step onto the balcony and enjoy a coffee in the morning sun.

Tucked between the sea and the Sierra Blanca mountains, Villa Terla enjoys a tranquil setting within the leafy Nagueles neighbourhood while being well-positioned to explore the region’s surrounding attractions.

Popular with locals, the nearby Nagueles Park is tucked in the shadow of the La Concha mountain, where you can wander beneath the tall pine trees or enjoy a picnic in the shade. A number of hiking trails run through the park, inviting you to explore the foothills or seek out a more challenging route and follow a path up the rocky landscape. From the hillside village of Ojen, you can find a route leading to the summit, where you can enjoy unparalleled views over the surrounding landscape and coastline.

Known for its prestigious hotels and exclusive restaurants, Marbella’s glamorous Golden Mile is just moments away, whilst a short drive takes you to the golden beaches and the wonderful Mediterranean Sea. Playa Nagueles is a popular spot, with a long stretch of golden sand and a wooden jetty for small boats, whilst, to the south, the Blue Flag beach at San Pedro is perfect for families. Enjoy a swim in the sea or wander along the promenade that forms part of the Senda Litoral de Malaga, an impressive coastal path that stretches for 160km. There are several water sports on offer or head to one of the nearby ‘chiringuitos’ where you can enjoy some lunch or an ice cream in the shade.

The vibrant town of Marbella has plenty to explore, with a mixture of traditional barrios and chic avenues where you can find shops, restaurants and pieces of history dotted around the streets. Wander the old town and discover the remnants of the ancient city wall built during the Muslim period, and be sure to visit the Plaza de los Naranjos, where you can enjoy a glass of wine and soak up the lively atmosphere. Walk through the beautiful Parque de la Alameda to admire its colourful tiles and charming fountains, or head to the Avenida del Mar, where you can see a collection of bronze sculptures designed by Salvador Dalí. There are plenty of tapas bars where you can stop to enjoy typical plates of cheese and meat or head to the waterfront where you can enjoy delicious seafood at Puerto Playa whilst sitting on the beach. Alternatively, tucked in a small alley in the old town, The Farm is a popular choice during summer. Situated in a building that dates back to 1502, the secluded garden is perfect for an intimate dinner where you can enjoy fresh dishes paired with an impressive selection of local wines, and if you visit on the weekend, you can witness the energetic flamenco dancing.
