Rent Le Mas Serein France
Holiday Home Rental Description
Stay in a vast Provençal farmhouse set in beautiful grounds with a lavender field, private tennis court and two heated swimming pools, located near the picture-perfect Luberon village of Gordes.
Le Mas Serein is an ideal holiday home for an extended family gathering or group of friends looking to spend time in this wonderful region of Provence. Sleeping up to 22 guests, the traditional mas has been sensitively converted into a house and four independent gites, set within a gloriously large garden where there is ample space to gather for relaxing days in the southern French sunshine.
The interiors respect the heritage of the farmhouse yet there is an overall contemporary vibe throughout with stylish furnishings and large windows framing the garden views. The main 4-bedroom house features an especially impressive lounge and kitchen opening out to a gorgeous dining area overlooking one of the swimming pools. Each independent gite is individually decorated with a lounge and small kitchen, alongside various bedrooms, modern bath or shower rooms and a private terrace. There is air-conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout.
Choose whether you wish to spend time by the first heated swimming pool overlooking the lavender field or the second pool, just beyond the farmhouse, with its stylish decked terrace. Then there’s the private tennis court, boules pitch and an idyllic pergola for al-fresco dining in the Provençal grounds. Other great additions include an outdoor sound system by the pool house and a fitness room.
Famous Gordes is only 5km away by car, a hilltop village which has inspired artists over the many years. Potter around its enchanting medieval lanes, dine out in some excellent restaurants and enjoy the Tuesday morning market as you pick up local fruit (seasonal cherries, melons, strawberries etc), vegetables, cheese, olive oil, charcuterie, wine and so much more.
Red-hued Roussillon is less than a 10-minute drive in the other direction, so famous for its ochre landscapes and pine trees, whilst other charming Luberon villages include Ménerbes, Bonnieux and Lourmarin. Visit the vineyards of the region, seek out yet more delicious produce at Apt’s Saturday morning market and make the most of the amazing walking, hiking and cycling routes through the captivating Luberon countryside.
Other fantastic days out include L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, especially on a Sunday morning when the brocante takes place, and Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, so loved by hiking and canoeing/kayaking enthusiasts. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Avignon, less than an hour away, or spend time discovering the gorgeous scenery of Les Alpilles with Eygalières, Maussane-les-Alpilles and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence all easily reached.

In the other direction is the famous village of Roussillon (5.5km), known for its ochre-hued surroundings and pine trees.
