Palazzo Vanvitelli sits in the heart of the sparkling white town Ostuni, near the south coast of Italy. This super stylish, contemporary, three-storey townhouse has sweeping city views from its top floor terrace, complete with whirlpool. The detached villa spans over four hundred and fifty squares metres, and is home to eight beautifully dressed ensuite bedrooms, providing an exquisite retreat for up to sixteen guests, ideal for a fabulous family holiday, or a group of friends’ get together.
Enter the villa at ground floor level, where there is a large welcoming hallway, with a television and surround sound stereo. The adjacent dining room, has that must-have Italian coffee machine and leads to an idyllic space for al fresco gatherings. An additional dining area, with five tables for two and a television, is perfect for meeting and sharing suppers. A useful guest room is on hand.
The exquisitely-appointed bedrooms are housed over two levels, all thoughtfully equipped with fridges, coffee machines, kettles, hairdryers, Wi-Fi, TV, safes, and decorated with modern art and finely cut stone work by expert craftsmen. The stone vaulted Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed, and an ensuite shower room featuring a double hand basin, bidet, and WC. Bedroom 2 features a double bed and an ensuite shower room, and Bedroom 3 has a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a deep soaking bath tub. The simply stunning Palazzo Vanvitelli can be found overlooking the town of Ostuni, near the south coast of Italy. The nearest international airport is Brindisi, a scenic thirty eight kilometre drive to your holiday home. The charming sparkling white town of Ostuni is literally on your doorstep, a fifty metre walk will take you to its historic centre, narrow streets, convivial squares, and impressive Romanesque cathedral.
The nearest and best beaches are a five minute drive to the protected coastal marine areas of Torre Guaceto, and Santa Sabina, with dunes and crystal clear waters that are great for swimming; Pilone, with golden sands, and organised clubs; and Rosa Marina, the longest stretch of beach in the area, with public and private sections. Whilst you are there enjoy paddleboarding, wind and kite surfing, or a boat trip along the coast.
Keep fit with a cycle through the countryside, or hike a local trail through olive groves and historic sites. Tee off at the San Domenico Golf Course, or play a game of tennis at the nearby club. Take a tour of the many wineries, and sample a glass of Puglia’s famous Primitivo.
Visit the local villages, or go further afield and head north to the holiday hot spot of Monopoli, or south to the ancient town of Brindisi.
As dusk falls sip cocktails, and wine and dine in the Piazza della Liberta, the main square in Ostuni, then dance until dawn at one of the beach clubs, which transform themselves into lively nightspots.
