Finca Asnellop is situated just over 5 minute drive away from the centre of Pollensa, a riveting region packed with character and alluring landmarks. A trip to Pollensa Market is a must-do activity for those looking to learn more about this region from a much more intimate perspective. With over 300 stalls to discover, this is a fantastic attraction if you are a fan of handmade goods and are eager to pick up a collection of artisan souvenirs to show off back home. A large section of this market is also dedicated to fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables. As such, this is an excellent way for guests to purchase a range of unique ingredients to use in their cooking back at the villa. The Pollensa Market is around 5 minutes from the villa and is open every Sunday from 8 am to 1:30 pm.
Formentor Lighthouse is a truly inspiring landmark that can be found around an hour away from the villa. First built in 1863, this structure was initially used to guide small fishing boats away from the sharp and dangerous rocks that are often found at the base of the shores. Despite its practical purpose, this lighthouse is also known to be a grand source of inspiration for many prolific writers such as Gerardo Diego. To get a clearer look at this monument, guests are encouraged to take a short drive toward the peak of the lighthouse and bask in the panoramic views that surround them as they travel through.
If you are eager to embark on a sightseeing tour like none other, you must take the time to explore Alzinaret Caves. These caves were initially discovered by a British archaeologist in 1927 but dated all the way back to 1600 BC. As such, guests now have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to observe a range of artefacts from the Middle Bronze Age in a much more personal fashion. With a wide collection of caves to discover, this is a great attraction for those looking to rekindle their sense of adventure and uncover the lost wonders that this region has to offer. There is also a small selection of outdoor benches for those who do not feel comfortable about entering the caves. Alzinaret Caves are located around a 15 minute drive away from Finca Asnellop.
