Ibiza Town is romantic and intriguing, exciting and vibrant, brash and buzzing, cosmopolitan and classic; all rolled into one eye-catching package. By day, it’s all about shopping, boating, beach-bar-hopping and historical sightseeing; then, by night, alfresco wining and dining, followed by dancing ’til dawn. You’ll find a great selection of small boutiques, high-end fashion stores, shoe shops and all kinds of novelties. It attracts a very international crowd all year round and is a great place to do some celebrity spotting in the summer. There are some great art galleries and history museums, and the pretty ancient citadel of Dalt Vila is a history lesson in itself.

The island boasts two nature reserves, Ses Salines and Cala d’Hort. Parc Natural de Ses Salines is a spectacular, peaceful day trip. Its wetlands are home to over two hundred species of birds. The sparkling salt pans and breathtaking sandy beaches are a sight to see. The sunsets are mesmerizing, as are the flocks of migrating hot-pink flamingos that arrive in the park between August and October for the winter. There are coves to visit, including Cova Santa cave, a beautiful natural grotto. Horse riding is popular, with several riding schools offering treks.

Due to the calm and clear nature of the local water, scuba diving is a highly acclaimed activity for both locals and tourists. Establishments such as Scuba Ibiza Diving Centre provide guests with a diverse selection of courses and resources to ensure that they have an incredible underwater experience. The novice course, also known as the Try Dive Course, lasts for around three hours and gives guests a chance to explore a plethora of marine wildlife from an entirely unique perspective.
