Cradled by wild snowy peaks, Chalet Chatelet is a luxurious winter getaway. Spanning three levels, it features accommodates eight adults and two children. Located in the delightful area of Mussillon, it’s part of the Les Allues valley — one of the largest and well-known ski areas in the world.
The chalet brings together the homely charm of an Alpine ski cottage with the luxuries of modern living. Its graceful wooden architecture matches perfectly with the surroundings, making you feel at one with nature.
Spend leisurely hours out on the large patio, amidst breath taking landscapes. After a long day on the slopes, take a refreshing dip in the outdoor jacuzzi, which offers soothing views of pine forests and snowy mountains.  Settle into the evening with a glass of exclusive wine from the wine cellar.
The living room is bright and modern, with stylish wooden furniture and a comfy lounge area. Gather around the crackling fireplace and exchange stories from your day with loved ones. Show off your musical skills on the grand piano.
You’re never short on entertainment thanks to the home cinema and DVD/ Blu-Ray player. You can choose from an enviable collection of movies. Kids will love the Playstation, board games and library of books.
Tuck into cosy meals with your family at the large dining table. If visiting with toddlers, you can request highchairs from the staff. The kitchen is roomy and fully furnished, fitted with glossy countertops and wooden cabinetry. It includes a freeze, blender, dishwasher and dryer. Start your mornings with fresh juice from the electric juice squeezer. Whip up your own fondue recipes using the fondue appliance.
The chalet comprises three bedrooms and three cabins. There are two cabins on the ground floor — each with a double bed, wardrobe, TV and en-suite bathroom. The third cabin is located on the second floor. It contains a bunk bed, wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. Also on the second floor, the children’s room features a bunk bed for two, private balcony and en-suite bathroom. A TV and wardrobe are also provided. The remaining two bedrooms come with double beds and en-suite bathroom. They include a private balcony, TV and wardrobe.
To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the chalet takes great pride in its ultra-efficient and courteous housekeeping services. You’re given a fresh supply of linen and indoor slippers. End of stay cleaning is provided.
The chalet also has a ski room, kitted with a ski cupboard and boot warmer. Other facilities include a safe, laundry room and outdoor furniture.The chalet is located in Meribel, a prime ski resort in the Valley of Allues. With over 600 kilometres of rolling pistes, it’s celebrated as one of the most sought-after ski areas in the world. Ski aficionados will enjoy the long, uninterrupted slopes of Mont Vallon, the Plattieres, the Tougnete and the Saulire.
The chalet is a short distance from chic boutiques, gastronomical adventures, magical fireworks and trendy nightspots. Take the Olympe gondola lift or the bus to the throbbing Meribel Centre. Adrenaline junkies are in for a treat, with exciting winter sports activities like snowshoeing, husky sledging and heliskiing.
Even if you run into bad weather, you have plenty of entertainment options. The Olympic Park by La Chaudanne boasts a 25-metre swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and climbing walls. Explore La Chaudanne and stop by its myriad of boutiques, eclectic restaurants and teeming pubs. There are options for every kind of pocket. Grab lunch on the terrace of La Cantine d’Alvar, against an awe-inspiring backdrop of Mont Vallon. Sample authentic Indian food at Tsaretta Spice and creamy fondues at La Fromagerie.
Non-skiers can explore 25 kms of spectacular hiking trails across the valley. Witness charming villages, frozen lakes and majestic peaks. Post 3 pm every day, enjoy dazzling cabaret acts, singing performances and dancers in extravagant costumes at La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel.
Meribel Village is a quaint, enchanting hamlet, slightly removed from Meribel Centre, A cocoon of tranquillity, it’s perched at an altitude of 1400 metres. Witness its charming wooden and stone chalets. Visit its rustic chapel and feel like you have stepped into the pages of history.
