Chateau Details

Chateau de la Houlberdiere boasts nine exquisitely appointed double bedrooms, each offering its own distinct charm. Among these, one bedroom can effortlessly transform into a second living room or study, providing flexible space for relaxation or productivity.

The chateau features a total of five bath/shower rooms, ensuring utmost comfort and convenience for guests. These include three ensuite bath/shower rooms, featuring a variety of configurations such as a shower room, a stand-up shower/bath, and a bath with a shower attachment. Additionally, there is a bathroom with a shower attachment, along with a separate shower room. Two additional WCs are conveniently located on the ground floor for added accessibility.

Each bedroom at Chateau de la Houlberdiere is imbued with its own unique personality, from the tranquil ambiance of the White and Jardin rooms to the exotic allure of the Colonial and Maroc suites. Other themed rooms include Blanche, Boudoir, Corsair, Racing, and Green, each offering a distinctively captivating experience.

Nestled within the picturesque provençale garden, guests will discover a private heated swimming pool, perfect for leisurely dips and sun-soaked relaxation. To the east of the main building, a private all-weather tennis court awaits, inviting guests to enjoy friendly matches or engage in active pursuits amidst the scenic surroundings.

The Loire Valley region

Chateau de la Houlberdiere is perfectly located with historic towns and villages dotted all around. It is 20 minutes to the centre of le Mans and under 5 hours from London by Eurostar. Fast trains to Paris from le Mans take less than an hour.
The nearest towns are are 5 minute drive away, and you will find an array of supermarkets, boulangeries, charcuteries, town squares and cafés and weekly markets.
Malicorne-sur-SartheChateau de la Houlberdiere is about a 20 minute drive to the world famous le Mans race track – the site of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the grueling round-the-clock car race. But it’s also an ancient town, with Roman walls, a beautiful cathedral and plenty of museums to see. Car aficionados will especially like the Musée Automobile de la Sarthe, where there is a vast collection of vehicles.
The Loire valley region is full of old-world villages and story-book chateaux. It was once fought over by Gauls, Romans, Visigoths and even Attila the Hun. You can roll through the lush valley, visiting fortresses in Amboise and Angers, UNESCO-designated Chartres Cathedral and the Gothic cathedral in Nantes.
