Chateau des Temps France

The passionate and talented owners of Château des Temps are not new to châteaux restorations and they were quick to fall in love with this 17th-century historic building which was crying out to be brought back to its former glory.
They were determined to keep its ancient charm whilst bringing in some 21st-century comforts. The result is a beautiful château with many original features, carved marble fireplaces, ancient tapestries and oak floors.
The chateau is set in six hectares of parkland with small streams, bridges, lake and a private heated swimming pool. It enjoys a desirable setting in lovely countryside, in the heart of the unspoilt Champagne region, the Cote de Blanc, in a quiet village with a small supermarket, a good local restaurant, a chemist and a hairdresser.
Within only a few minutes’ drive, are pretty villages, local producers and vineyards. The town of Sezanne has a wonderful market on Saturdays as well as a big supermarket and other shops. About five minutes drive away is a lovely leisure area, lake, beach, indoor pool and children’s play area.
The owners are so passionate about this beautiful region that they have created some interesting and varied tours with a charming English speaking local guide, which guests can book at the château. In addition, they work with a talented local caterer who offers a vast range of gastronomic options and the possibility of cookery lessons.Nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Cote de Blanc region, Chateau des Temps is strategically located in a peaceful typical Champagne village, offering basic amenities such as a traditional restaurant, a small supermarket, a pharmacy and hairdresser.
A 10-minutes’ drive will take you to the picturesque town of Sezanne with its narrow streets, ancient buildings, Gothic church, covered market hall and several cafes and restaurants. Vineyards can be found both to the South and to the North, giving you the opportunity of visiting many Champagne, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier producers!
The fortified medieval fair town of Provins (50mins) is also well worth a visit: steeped in history, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with 58 listed monuments. Divided into ‘Upper’ and ‘Lower’ town, it is dotted by subterranean passages, fortified gates, quaint streets, making it a must for those fascinated by times past.
Likewise, another interesting medieval site is Troyes, located approximately one hour from the chateau. You will be enchanted by the lovely old buildings and by its excellent local cuisine. ‘Outlet’ shopping is available at nearby Pont Saint Marie.
To top it all, the gorgeous and unmissable Champagne producing villages of Avize, Vertus and Cramant are just 40 minutes away!
A picturesque drive across beautiful scenery of about 30 minutes takes you up to Epernay.
