Starting outside, there’s a pretty rockery-filled garden at the back of the property, which has both a deck with seating and a view across the water, as well as a summer house with its own log burner in case of rainy afternoons.
Behind the home’s handsome white stone walls, you’re reminded of the coastal location thanks to the range of nautical artworks and trinkets dotted about. In addition to another log-burner, there’s also a sleek kitchen, a pair of modern bathrooms and a master bedroom in the loft extension that benefits from skylights in case you fancy a spot of constellation-spotting before you go to sleep.
For those with their own boats, there’s a slipway with direct access to the river only a hundred yards from the home. The surrounding village of Newton Ferrers is charming to stroll about, while a little further afield, Cellar Beach and the South West Coast Path can be reached in fifteen minutes by car.
