Rent Home Carolina Candlenut Cotswolds
Holiday Home Rental Description
Although this Grade-II listed cottage was built in the sixteenth century, the hosts have done a wonderful job during the complete renovation in 2020 to ensure that it doesn’t turn into a museum piece. Alongside original features — like the wooden beams, exposed stonework and inglenook fireplaces — there are plenty of modern additions in the form of boldly patterned feature walls, colourful print artwork and bright bathrooms. Depending on the season you visit, guests can pass evenings in front of a crackling log fire playing board games or they can light up the barbecue and serve alfresco feasts on the courtyard. As can probably be deduced from the rolling field views from each of the bedroom windows, this home sits right in the middle of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are lots of walking routes that start nearby. Some people might be happy to hear that there’s a gastropub sixty seconds from the front door, too.
