On the edge of Arcadia, and with Camelback Mountain looming on the horizon, Green-Blue Roses feels like it distils the essence of Phoenix and Scottsdale into a single home. Whether you want to reconnect with nature, practise your putting, or just relax in the backyard, you’re covered. A pool and spa are the centrepieces of the outdoor space, but it’s a huge area, with two fire pits, and citrus and pomegranate trees dotted about. As the sun sets, the light catches the leaves in a magical way. Hosts Ric and Jen have managed to put so much character into the home. We’re particular fans of the retro vibe inside – there’s an enormous selection of old VHSes and cassette tapes, so if you’re ever feeling like a break from the fresh air, you won’t be bored.

*There’s also a noise-monitoring system to ensure the neighbourhood noise levels are respected, but it only measures decibels, nothing else
