Villa Neka Indonesia
Holiday Home Rental Description
This delightful 2-bedroom villa is located in the Savan area of Ubud, a Balinese town which is the cultural hub of life on the island. A charming property, built and designed with true craftsmanship, Villa Neka is bursting with colour and enjoys beautiful surroundings – outside you will find a tropical garden with a private pool.
All the amenities of Villa Neka are on one level, making it an easy property to navigate. With air-conditioning and ceiling fans, it’s a comfortable one too. The property as a whole actually consists of two bungalows, placed side by side – giving you many of its features twice over.
Both bungalows feature a spacious double bedroom with an en suite bathroom containing a shower and WC. A large wardrobe will take care of your storage needs, while colourful rugs and painted furniture add to the room’s visual appeal.
The open-plan layout of each bungalow also contains a flatscreen TV and a dining table with seating for four. Villa Neka also keeps you connected with high-speed Wi-Fi, and a dedicated team are on hand to help 24/7.
Each bungalow also has a well-equipped kitchen with a small stove, a fridge freezer, kettle and all the crockery and cutlery you may need. A covered veranda provides another space to enjoy, and there’s room to recline on the terrace beside the gorgeous outdoor pool. Palms and plants give this garden space an extra element of seclusion.
There is easy access to the area’s restaurants and shops from Villa Neka. Ubud is an area with plenty of both to discover. You will find Jalan Raya, the town’s main shopping street, is a hive of activity, full of stores selling local fashions and heritage textiles alongside more familiar international brands.
There is plenty of sightseeing to do in Ubud too – the Royal Palace is a local landmark and you may well catch a traditional dance or musical performance. The eye-catching Goa Gajah ‘Elephant Cave’ and the Ubud Monkey Forest – home to 700 macaques – are among the area’s best-loved attractions. The Indonesian island of Bali well deserves its reputation as a tropical paradise – and it provides it for less than many other similarly enticing destinations. In almost every regard – scenery, culture, entertainment and tradition among them – Bali delivers an incredible experience you’ll want to repeat.
In the middle of the world’s largest archipelago, Bali is the island which stands out. Its landscapes are varied, with white sand beaches, rice fields and rugged mountains all part of the mix. This makes an incredible playground for outdoor pursuits, and all sorts of organised tours and packages will let you try many of them for yourself. River rafting, canyoning, quad biking and world-class diving will all tick the ‘unforgettable adventure’ box. Bali is a surfer’s dream too, with the powerful waves of Uluwatu, for instance, only for the hardcore.
Beginners would be better off up the coast at Kuta, a southern town which forms part of a popular tourist area. While there is plenty of nightlife, for sure, Kuta might not be to everyone’s taste. A little further north, Seminyak offers a more upscale experience, with designer boutiques, excellent restaurants and spas among many reasons to visit this beach resort – the sunsets are pretty amazing too.
Just over an hour’s drive northeast of Seminyak, you will come to a place many regards as the island’s cultural centre, Ubud. This traditional town is a far cry from the hedonism of the likes of Kuta – you will find a much more authentic Balinese experience here.
The area is full of magnificent sights, including gracious temples like Pura Taman Saraswati set amidst beautiful ponds of pink lotus flowers, and Tirta Empul with its holy springs. The Tegallalang Rice Terraces are another scenic favourite of visitors to the area.
You will find the tradition permeates Balinese culture throughout the island, with great respect paid to ceremony and religion – Bali is indeed known as the Island of the Gods. The importance of spirituality and rituals makes it a natural home for yoga and meditative retreats, so there is no better place to clear your mind.
If you are after a beach holiday, numerous beach clubs will make it extra luxurious while there are many more that keep it simple. Nusa Dua is a good family choice, while seafood dining adds an extra dimension to Jimbaran Bay – both just a few minutes’ drive from the airport. Keep an eye out, too, for Bali’s magnificent waterfalls, hidden away in all sorts of secret spots. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
