If you are looking for a beachfront property on the platinum west coast of Barbados, Villa Clearwater could be the answer to your dreams. It’s spacious, offering four bedrooms, three bathrooms, generous living spaces and tropical gardens that open onto the beautiful Gibbes Beach. It is a delightful villa, brimming with vintage furnishings and lovely rooms that capture soothing tropical breezes and superb sea views. Gibbes Beach is one of the most tranquil beaches on the breathtaking Bajan coastline of Barbados. It adjoins the famous Mullins Beach and is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the warm Caribbean sunshine. The beach offers an excellent variety of watersports. Holetown and Speightstown are close to the villa with a good range of shops and restaurants. Holetown is rich in history, being the site of the first British landing in Barbados in 1625 and the first settlement two years later. Holetown enjoys a delightful boardwalk, gorgeous tropical beach, amazing sunsets, the colour Holetown Festival of crafts, music and historical parades, two shopping malls, the Chattel Village shops and an incredible array of cocktail bars and excellent restaurants. Villa Clearwater’s living room is vast, with exposed stonework, traditional furnishings, intricate metalwork, oversized artwork and large wooden doors opening to the terrace. The dining area enjoys vintage antique furnishings, and the kitchen is very roomy. One of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor with expansive views of Gibbes Beach. It comes with comfy twin beds that sit next to each other as a large kingsize bed and an ensuite bathroom. Upstairs, the master bedroom boasts a queen-size bed, an ensuite bathroom and a wide picture window where you can enjoy the sea vistas. You can open the shutters and enjoy the soft breeze on your face as you wake. The remaining two bedrooms overlook the gardens, offer twin beds that are also placed together and share a family bathroom. The terrace is cool, shaded from the sun but offers delightful sea views. There is space for alfresco dining and lounging, or you can head down to the shade of the tamarind tree. The villa’s gates provide direct access to the beach for an early morning walk on the pristine white sand or a swim in the turquoise waters. There is an outside shower house to rinse off the sand. It is a lovely spot where you can embrace the calm.Villa Clearwater is situated on the gorgeous west coast of Barbados in a lovely spot with direct access to Gibbes Beach. Gibbes Beach sits right next to Mullins Beach, another west coast wonder. The beaches are spectacular, with a colourful array of marine life and coastal birds. The Folkestone Marine Park in Holetown, very close to Villa Clearwater, spans several kilometres along the coast and was set up to preserve the coral and shallow areas inhabited by turtles. The marine park is separated into various zones, including two sports zones where motorised aquatic sports are permitted, a scientific zone and a recreational zone where you can snorkel in peace and discover the fascinating underwater world. Paynes Bay has a fabulous beach and fish market where you can buy fresh local fish. You can buy freshly grilled fish from the vendors with delicious Bajan side dishes and Bajan rum to wash it down every Friday. As well as visiting the impressive beaches, Barbados boasts a gorgeous, rolling interior sprinkled with atmospheric plantation houses and wonderful lush botanical gardens. Barbados is also famous for sports, including polo and golf. Prestigious clubs include the Apes Hill Golf Club, where you can play through the rain forest, the open greens, The Royal Westmoreland Golf Club and three excellent courses at Sandy Lane. Holders Hill is the main polo venue in Barbados, where you can spend a very civilised afternoon watching the polo and enjoying a superb afternoon tea at the same time. Cricket fans may enjoy a trip to Kensington Oval, the oldest, prime sports venue in Barbados, established in 1882. Aside from cricket, Kensington Oval is also the venue for soccer, hockey, concerts, music festivals and the summer festival of Barbados, Crop Over. Shopping is excellent in this corner of paradise. The Limegrove Lifestyle Centre is one of the most stylish, upmarket places to shop. It is home to the world’s leading retail brands, including Armani, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Gucci and Ralph Lauren. The open courtyard oozes an exciting ambience and boasts a stunning waterfall feature. The brightly painted shops at the Chattle Village are renovated Chattle homes and are absolutely charming. You can buy clothes, jewellery and souvenirs in a beautiful, lively environment. Holetown was the site of the first British landing in Barbados in 1625 and the first settlement by the British two years later. The Holetown Monument commemorates the landing. There are many good snorkelling opportunities in the mellow waters and reefs at Holetown Beach. Fine dining is also impressive in Holetown.
