Rental Description

The fabulous, newly renovated, Colonial-style Villa Milord offers beachfront heaven. It is a fabulous dreamy property located on Barbados’ coveted platinum west coast in Fitts Village, between Sandy Lane and Bridgetown. The villa is stunning, mostly in white and natural calm tones and with the odd colour splash. Luxury linens, sumptuous furnishings and incredible attention to detail ensure you will leave this special holiday home with blissful memories. The sparkling sea views and soft ocean breezes will invite you to embrace the calm, slow down, and relax. Included in your stay is an excellent housekeeper and cook who will provide you with yummy breakfasts and lunches six days a week. She will also prepare dinner for an additional fee.  Fitts Village in the parish of St James takes its name from the man that initially owned the land, Benjamin Thomas Fitt. It was originally a fishing village, and you will still see plenty of fishermen here and in the neighbouring Paynes Bay, where there is a fishing market. Several reefs make the beach perfect for snorkelling. It is a favourite release spot for sea turtle hatchlings rescued by the Barbados Sea Turtle Project. The beach is a real beauty, with picnic benches sprinkled among the Casuarina trees that line the shore. Fitts Village has an excellent Italian restaurant in a romantic seaside setting and several rustic rum bars. If you decide to leave this little slice of paradise, there are lovely dining opportunities, golf courses, horseback riding, scuba diving and surfing, all just a short drive away.  The main living area of Villa Milord is bright and airy, with doors opening fully to the terrace and mesmerising sea views. A sofa and chairs sit opposite a large wall-mounted television alongside some lovely handpicked accessories. The dining area is very elegant in its simplicity, and the kitchen is beautiful with stainless steel appliances. The bar area enjoys a generous wine and beverage fridge. One of the bedrooms sits downstairs too, with access to the terrace, a gorgeous dreamy and romantic space with a beautifully dressed king-size bed and a wall-mounted television for lazy lie-ins. Upstairs, the final two bedrooms both enjoy Caribbean Sea views, beautiful ensuite bathrooms, ceiling fans and televisions, and air-conditioning. They share a shaded balcony with astonishing sea views, a perfect spot to start the day with a cup of coffee. There is also a small space that can be used as an additional lounge or sleeping space. You could always borrow one of the villa’s many books and head off for a quiet read.  Though the interiors of Villa Milord are wonderful, the magic happens on the outside terrace. You can dine alfresco, sunbathe on one of the six luxury loungers and cool off in the plunge pool. In moments you can be swimming in the turquoise waters or wandering along the glistening sands. It is simply magical!Villa Milord is a fabulous holiday home that sits right next to the beach at Fitts Village. The beach is calm and tranquil, ideal for picking up your holiday book and enjoying the sunshine. The nearby village boasts several shops, bars, restaurants, and its Church of The Good Shepherd.  Holetown, Sandy Lane, Gibbes Beach and Mullins Beach are close to Fitts Village. These west coast beaches are spectacular, with a colourful array of marine life and coastal birds. The Folkestone Marine Park in Holetown spans several kilometres along the coast and was set up to preserve the coral and shallow areas inhabited by turtles. The marine park is separated into various zones, including two sports zones where motorised aquatic sports are permitted, a scientific zone and a recreational zone where you can snorkel in peace and discover the fascinating underwater world. Holetown was the site of the first British landing in Barbados in 1625 and the first settlement by the British two years later. The Holetown Monument commemorates the landing. There are many good snorkelling opportunities in the mellow waters and reefs at Holetown Beach. Fine dining is also impressive in Holetown. First & Second Streets boasts some quirky bars that embrace the spirit of the Caribbean.  Paynes Bay has a fabulous beach and a fabulous fish market where you can buy fresh local fish or watch as the fishermen bring their catches in. You can buy freshly grilled fish from the vendors with delicious Bajan side dishes and Bajan rum to wash it down every Friday. As well as visiting the impressive beaches, Barbados boasts a gorgeous, rolling interior sprinkled with atmospheric plantation houses and wonderful lush botanical gardens. You must make sure you take a tour to visit some of them.  Barbados is famous for sports, including cricket, polo and golf. Prestigious golf clubs include The Royal Westmoreland Golf Club and the three excellent courses at Sandy Lane. Holders Hill is the main polo venue on the island, where you can spend a very civilised afternoon watching the polo while enjoying a superb afternoon tea at the same time. Cricket fans will enjoy a trip to Kensington Oval, the oldest, prime sports venue in Barbados, established in 1882. Aside from cricket, Kensington Oval is also the venue for soccer, hockey, concerts, music festivals and the summer festival of Barbados, Crop Over.  The Limegrove Lifestyle Centre is one of the most stylish, upmarket places to shop, and you can enjoy a delicious meal simultaneously. It is home to the world’s leading retail brands, including Armani, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Gucci and Ralph Lauren. The open courtyard oozes a beautiful ambience and boasts a stunning waterfall feature. At Excellence Luxury Villas, we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
