Spicy Sequoia is one of those homes that always appears effortlessly chic. Designed by Oller & Pejic, it’s an architectural gem set against Yucca Valley’s rugged desert terrain. The sliding glass doors blur the lines between the inside and outside, allowing you to enjoy home-cooked meals on the terrace, gaze at the stars, and relax in the hot tub. We also loved the enormous record collection, which features some of the host Joann’s all-time favourite tunes. Found just a short drive from Joshua Tree National Park, there are plenty of exciting adventures waiting for you.

*The dirt road to access this home is in good enough condition for most American-style cars, but a four-wheel drive is recommended
*There’s also no garage, so you’ll have to leave the car out in the sun
*Although mainly pet-friendly, the hosts do not allow cats
