There’s a beautiful harmony of flora and fauna that stretches along the Southwestern coast of Istria, while the South of Istria boasts fascinating history.
It’s a must-see travel location, that is becoming increasingly popular as more people avoid Croatia’s hot-spots and look for somewhere equally as stunning, just with fewer tourists and more ‘off the beaten track’ sites. The climate of Istria is varied, from a Mediterranean climate in the Western and Southern coasts to a more continental climate in the centre. There’s plenty to see and do along the peninsula for history-buffs, foodie-fiends and sun-seekers. The area is known for delicacies such as olives, truffles and interesting wines; it’s even been dubbed the ‘new Tuscany’, due to producing such tasty wines.
