The sensational Villa Aegean offers a fabulous holiday experience. Surrounded by more than one hundred olive trees and vineyards on an impressive estate, this gorgeous villa has been beautifully designed. Its phenomenal, double height, open plan living space certainly offers the wow factor. Together with five delightful bedroom suites sleeping ten guests and outstanding outdoor space with a 20 metre long swimming pool and jacuzzi, guests may very well feel like never leaving Villa Aegean for the whole week. However, the villa is located within walking distance or a two minute drive of the wonderful Roda Beach on the very north of Corfu and the island offers so many wonderful adventures.
Roda, a tranquil fishing village, is a fabulous resort offering a lovely sandy beach, a delightful harbour, traditional tavernas, lively bars and a very warm welcome. The beach offers a wonderful array of watersports as well as crystal clear water. The village is just 35km from Corfu Town. There are a plethora of trips and tours that can easily be enjoyed from Roda including visits to Kassiopi, Acharavi and Sidari as well as Paleokastritsa and Corfu’s highest peak, Pantokarator. Guests enjoy hiking excursions and horse riding as well as many days on the silky golden sands.
Architects and interior designers have been in their element styling Villa Aegean. The black framed doors and windows in the living area combine brilliantly with the mellow honey coloured stone and cool cream sumptuous sofas. The huge feature fireplace and the vaulted ceilings are incredibly striking and create a cavernous feel to this incredible room. The chef’s dream of a kitchen features cream and black cabinetry and the very best of appliances. Guests can either dine inside at the trendy wooden table and chairs or alfresco in a choice of special spaces. The living space is very sociable, just perfect for a group of friends or family. The huge black framed doors and windows offer glimpses of the beautiful grounds surrounding the villa. Above the kitchen area is a superb mezzanine office space with views down to the living area should you need to check on your emails.
Like the living space, the five luxurious, dreamy bedroom suites have been beautifully appointed and offer wonderful views of the pool and grounds. Each of the comfy kingsize beds is dressed in hotel quality linens and stylish soft furnishings. Guests will not want to be rushing in the exquisite bathrooms with marble sinks and superb showers. Throughout the villa, the styling is graceful and elegant.
The outside space of Villa Aegean is totally serene. The highly impressive swimming pool and jacuzzi is surrounded by a gorgeous terrace, chic, trendy loungers, a shaded alfresco dining area and grounds brimming with organic oil producing olive trees dating back over 150 years and bountiful vineyards and orchards with apples, oranges, lemons and pears. The panoramic scenery is stunning. At one end of the pool terrace you will find a beautiful alfresco lounge area, shaded from the hot sun and built with warm, honey coloured stone and comfy cushions. It is the perfect spot for cocktails and chilling. There are two wonderful spots for alfresco dining, one by the pool and the other on the other side of the living space, both shaded and beautifully designed.

The fauna and flora is world famous due to the Durrell family and especially since the TV series. As well as exploring the coastal towns and villages, you really should explore the interior and the mountainous regions.
Roda is a lovely resort on the north coast of Corfu. Villa Aegean enjoys a wonderful secluded position on a large estate within walking distance of the beach. The eastern part of the beach is the village’s picturesque fishing harbour. There are plenty of tavernas, bars and shops and a delightful sandy beach. Many watersports are available as well as boat trips to Paleokastritsa, Sidari, Corfu Town and the coastal islands near Corfu. Roda also boasts some archaeological sites such as the remains of a Doric temple dating from the 5th century BC. You will see some of the finds from Roda in the archaeological museum in Corfu Town.
Not far from Roda, you will find Acharavi which enjoys a wonderful variety of shops, bars and restaurants which are sprinkled along the central street and along the beach promenade. Its golden beach stretches the whole length of the town, a lengthy 3km. Visitors will find plenty of loungers and umbrellas for hire and a wonderful selection of beach bars.
Paleokastritsa is rumoured to be the mythical island of the Phaeacians and the Bay of Paleokastritsa to be the place where Odysseus disembarked and met Nausicaa for the first time. The monastery in Paleokastritsa dates back to 1225 and is home to an interesting museum which houses the holy and precious relics of the monastery. It stands on a sheer hillside brimming with trees and olives facing the deep blue sea. The resort is very hilly and nestles beneath the folds of steep verdant slopes of olive groves and citrus orchards. Agios Spyridon is the the most famous beach in Paleokastritsa.
In the lively north eastern corner of Corfu you will find the beautiful resort of Kassiopi. With the dramatic Mount Pantokrator overlooking the resort and with a stunning harbour, this once quiet fishing village is definitely worth a visit. Kassiopi boasts traditional narrow streets overlooked by the ruins of an ancient Byzantine castle together with breathtaking views out to sea towards the Albanian coast. There is a good selection of excellent restaurants and some good shops. Visitors enjoy delightful, tranquil walks around the headland.
Corfu Town or Kerkyra as it is otherwise known, is 35 km away. It is one of the most beautiful and elegant towns in Greece. Though seventh in size, Corfu Town is one of the most populated towns in the whole of the Ionian Islands. The entire old city is declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Corfu Town’s unique charm, sophistication, character, atmosphere and faultless cuisine should not be missed. The town’s stunning architecture has many strong influences including Sicilian, Venetian, French and English.
