Set into a coastal hillside, this stone villa has views for days. Built in keeping with the typical Cycladic architecture, but with plenty of modern touches, it’s a delightful home both inside and out. From the incredible terrace, where your infinity pool awaits, you’ll have panoramic views across the Aegean southwards to the islands of Naxos, Paros and Donoussa. It’s the perfect place to barbecue and eat together in the shade of the huge pergola.
Inside, this home is smart and modern, with comfortable furniture, a well kitted-out kitchen and peaceful, private bedrooms. Each having its own ensuite, there will be no need to queue for the shower, and thanks to the separate entrance upstairs, there’s the chance for part of the group to have a little more independence. We love the green shuttered windows and the cool stone walls.
But this place is all about the views and thanks to the different levels of its grounds, there are several outdoor spots where you can get a quiet moment to yourself to ponder them, with sun loungers, an outdoor bar and a choice of two places to eat alfresco. Our favourite has to be ‘the cave’, which is dramatically lit at night. Within easy reach of two of the area’s most popular beaches and just a stone’s throw away from a range of restaurants, specialising in local seafood, this place really has it all.
