Once a winery, now a sanctuary for a small family or group of friends, this whitewashed villa is all about relaxing in style. Inside, it’s contemporary and minimalist – we loved the uncluttered spaces, double-height ceilings in the living area, wood accents and hand-selected, Scandi-style furnishings. There’s a smart kitchen-diner, where you’ll begin mornings with breakfast courtesy of your host, and an office space for planning your itinerary (or penning smug postcards.)
Outside, you’ll find a terrace complete with a pool and knockout views of the Cretan Sea. Spend the day lolling about on a lounger, watching over the Venetian Castle and basking in a gentle ocean breeze. When you’re ready to explore your surroundings, the Bronze Age settlement of Akrotiri is just a short walk from your doorstep, or hop across to Caldera Beach, an excellent spot for snorkelling.
