Villa Fragatas is an elegant Mediterranean-style 5 bedroomed villa sleeping up to 10 guests. With an inviting private pool and a lovely mature garden, this fully air-conditioned property enjoys a tranquil, exclusive location in Vilamoura, famed for its lively marina, fabulous beaches and world-class golf courses. Villa Fragatas is located in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the second par-4 tee of the Pinhai Golf Course. Restaurants and a supermarket are only a short walk away, and a leisurely 30 stroll will take you to the very heart of Vilamoura with its fabulous beaches and glittering Marina.
This attractive property seamlessly blends cool, clean lines with elegant furnishings creating a relaxing, calming retreat to enjoy on lazy sunny days and soft balmy nights. On the ground floor, natural light floods through the double-height ceiling space onto white-washed walls. Warm woods, terracotta tiles and floor-to-ceiling windows frame the substantial open style, ground floor living and dining area. With plentiful large squashy sofas, a large TV and lots of room to stretch out, this is a wonderful place to simply chill out. The elegant dining area is spacious and charming and opens up onto a covered furnished dining terrace so you can decide whether your fabulous feasts are enjoyed inside or al fresco. Chefs will have everything they need in the bright and modern well-equipped kitchen, including an American-style fridge, cooker, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine alongside plenty of storage space. A further bonus is the utility room with washing machine and ironing facilities.
Villa Fragatas offers large families and groups great flexibility with regard to bedrooms. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor. The spacious Master Bedroom is King Sized with an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath with overhead shower; there is direct access to the garden. Bedroom 2 is a flexible twin room with an en-suite bathroom, and Bedroom 3 is a family bedroom with a double bed and two twin beds. Upstairs, Bedroom 4 has flexible twin beds, and Bedroom 5 has a king-size bed and faces onto the pool and golf course. Both bedrooms have use of a separate bathroom with a bath and shower.
The outside space is private and secure. Facing a leafy golf course and offering plenty of space, you can relax in a pretty mature garden and take a dip in a gorgeous kidney-shaped pool. This is a fantastic spot to lie back and relax in oversized loungers, or you can take advantage of the built-in seating area, perfect for sunny lunches or drinks before evening barbeques. Star gazers can access the beautifully furnished roof terrace via exterior stairs or via the first floor. Enjoy amazing 160-degree views whilst relaxing with a sundowner or two on warm balmy evenings.The town of Vilamoura is located in Central Algarve and is one of Europe’s most sought-after holiday destinations. Its focal point is the marina complex which dazzles with its fine dining options, stylish bars and a harbour which, in the summer, fills with million-dollar yachts, freeing up the owners to walk the sun-filled streets. The Marina is also a launching pad for a huge range of activities like parasailing, dolphin tours, fishing trips and jet ski adventures.
Holidaymakers who are after sophistication and luxury need look no further as Vilamoura boasts everything they could need. The glitz and glamour of the town combined with beautiful sandy beaches. The largest is Praia da Falésia (translating to ‘beach of cliffs’) which sits against scorched orange and chalk-white cliffs and untouched natural scenery. The beach offers decent waves for surfing, sunbeds, and watersports, plus a bar and a restaurant so visitors can make a full beach day trip. For hikers, the cliff-top footpaths take you the entire length of the beach and offer unrivalled views of the ocean.
Golf lovers will be in their element at Vilamoura as the town is one of Europe’s finest golfing destinations. Known to many as a golfer’s paradise, the town offers six 18-hole golf facilities of extremely high standards with top-quality facilities. Highly rated are the iconic Old Golf Course, Millennium Golf Course and the Victoria Golf Course, which is used for the Portugal Masters.
A thirty-minute drive away is the Ludo Hiking Trail, a stunning nature track which gets you up close to the salt pools of Rio Formosa and all its wildlife. The track is a birdwatcher’s paradise with flocks of flamingos and Spoonbills year-round. The track is relatively easy, coming in at 7km and will take approximately three to four hours.
For those who want to explore further afield, there’s Faro, the capital of the Algarve and home to the winding, cobbled roads of the old town which is surrounded by historic Roman walls. Daily markets sell fresh local produce, as well as handmade crafts and clothing specific to the region.
