On the top floor, you’ll find four of these luxurious bedrooms. The first is your immense master bedroom, with a stunning ensuite bathroom and tons of natural light. In addition, here there is a double room and two smaller children’s bedrooms. The remaining two bedrooms are on the ground floor and include two more double beds, both boasting garden access! All of the rooms embody a decadent elegance with minimalist designs and rich colours. There are six accompanying bathrooms all of which are equally vibrant, with a range of freestanding bathtubs and walk-in showers, including a double vanity unit in one!
Your garden is enormous, with soft, cushioning grass expanding into the distance in every direction connecting you to the natural world which envelops you in this world-famous region of Cape Town. The enchanting heart of the garden is undoubtedly your wonderful pool, with loungers surrounding it for sunbathing and relaxing in between refreshing dips. Around the pool, across the many terraces, are casual seating areas, alfresco dining and tons of grassy areas for strolling and enjoying the fresh air!Tucked in the famous wine valley of Constantia, Cape Nelius is within minutes of some of the oldest vineyards in the southern hemisphere, and yet still just a 20-minute drive away from Cape Town city centre, making this is a perfect location for all!
If you’re a fan of wine you already know South Africa is unmissable – what you might not know is that the Constantia Valley is the oldest winemaking region in the southern hemisphere, with some estates dating back to 1685! In this exquisite valley, you will find not only vineyards but also countless excellent restaurants to enjoy along the way! As well as wine, Cape Town and its surrounding region are major fruit producers, and you can enjoy some of the freshest, most delicious fruits around here. As you’d expect, there is also tons of seafood, including yellowtail, cape salmon and kingklip, which are absolutely delicious.
Aside from food, another absolute highlight of the region is, of course, Table Mountain. You can either take the cable car up to the top or enjoy a 2-3 hour steep hike through stunning scenery. When you reach the top there are 2km of paths to be wandered, all giving you panoramic views of the city and Table Bay. There’s even a restaurant up here for dining with a view! The Table Mountain National Park itself comprises several areas of interest along the peninsula, including Cape Hope and Cape Point, and is bursting with fascinating wildlife including ostriches, antelopes and baboons, and of course breath-taking scenery!
With both the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean to choose from, you’ll find an inspiring selection of water-sports available all along the coastline! Surfing and kite surfing are major sports in the area, thanks to the varied coastline made up of protected coves to huge open beaches with enormous waves, promising something for all levels!
An unforgettable day out is a trip to Robben Island, the Maximum Security Prison where political prisoners, including Nelson Mandela, were held during the apartheid. The tour begins at the V&A Waterfront and includes not only a tour of the prison itself but also meeting a former political prisoner and a tour of the 575-hectare Island which often includes sightings of penguins! At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
