The sunny nook in the kitchen is ideal for a hearty breakfast and strong cup of coffee for those lazy mornings, and the doors to the living space slides all the way open to allow the sea breeze to drift, invitingly, in.
Evenings together can be spent tuckered out around the fire for a barbecue – South Africa’s favourite pastime. Take lunches of rich Malay curries or bobotie on the terrace with company from the peak of Lion’s Head and the calling gulls.
