You only have to head up to the balcony on this ninth-floor home in Green Point to see what we mean – not many destinations can match the sweeping views of the rooftops, mountains and ocean. With a backdrop this dramatic, you’ll be thankful for the seating and table out on the terrace, as well as the barbecue ready and waiting for cooking up an alfresco feast.
That being said, the vista is no less mesmerising out through the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the walls. Although your attention is naturally drawn to what lies outside, you’ll be suitably impressed by the interior design when you give it a closer look. There’s contemporary elegance in every corner, from the super-sleek white kitchen and sophisticated corner lounge to the colourful artwork hanging on the walls.
If you can believe it, there’s more. Elsewhere in the building, there’s a large communal swimming pool in which you can cool off during the hottest part of the afternoon. The location is excellent, too. You can easily reach the galleries and restaurants in the V&A Waterfront on foot, as well as Cape Town Stadium. If you’ve got a car at your disposal, you’ve got even more choices – Table Mountain is ten minutes’ drive away, as are Camps Bay and Clifton beaches.
