Rent Villa Standing Elderberry Balearic Islands
Holiday Home Rental Description
Surrounded by lush gardens and with Mallorca’s misty mountains rising as a backdrop, this villa feels as though you are ensconced in nature. It’s also a pretty picture of the island’s agricultural history – stone-built and radiating rustic charm. Embrace the peace and quiet in the privacy of the garden, where a lush lawn surrounds the stone-built swimming pool. Loungers and seats scatter across the grass and palms kiss the near-constantly blue sky. There’s a traditional old out-building here too, which has been converted into a shaded spot with an outdoor lounge, old carriage wheels and horse paraphernalia on display. Long, lazy lunches can be enjoyed beneath the pergola, courtesy of a barbecue grill in the summer kitchen.
The rustic feel continues inside where the darkwood furniture of a 19th-century farmhouse sits beneath wood-beamed ceilings. Exposed stone walls show off the history of the building and old oil paintings add another old-world touch. There’s a cute cast-iron stove in the dining room for chilly evenings.
In terms of location, you’re in the peace and quiet of the Mallorcan countryside. But it’s a ten-minute drive to Puerto Alcudia and Puerto Pollensa, where long sweeps of sandy beach await. Plus, the historic old town of Alcudia proper is just a five-minute drive away.
