Luxury Villas
|3 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

The beautifully maintained Can Xanet offers a wonderful sense of seclusion, gorgeous countryside views and warm character. This tastefully decorated three-bedroom villa is delightfully rustic with a modern edge. Its chic, modern touches blend brilliantly with its exposed stonework and beamed ceilings. With two double bedrooms and a delightful single, Can Xanet sleeps five guests. It enjoys an idyllic, tranquil location close to the old Roman road that connects Alcudia with Pollensa. The villa boasts spectacular mountain views yet is within easy reach of these two wonderful tourist towns.   The medieval Old Town of Alcudia is incredibly atmospheric. It enjoys cobbled streets, ancient ruins, fabulous restaurants, unique independent shops and a fantastic open-air market. Concerts and plays take place in the summer months, entertaining the crowds. The huge stretches of golden sand around the horseshoe-shaped Alcudia Bay are breathtaking. With many bars, restaurants and cafes surrounding the beach and the glitzy marina, it is easy to see why Alcudia is adored. Luxury yachts bob away while you sample delicious cocktails at the waterside bars. Many boat trips and watersports leave from the marina. Pollensa is another ancient gem with attractive, charming narrow streets lined with beautiful architecture and cosmopolitan bars and restaurants. You will discover modern art galleries mingling with Spanish restaurants and Roman and medieval ruins. A walk up the steep main street, Puig de Pollensa, leads you to an old medieval monastery dating back to 1348 with views across the mountains to the Mediterranean beyond. The beach at Puerto Pollensa is stunning.  Can Xanet is tastefully presented. You will quickly realise that this villa is much loved and offers understated elegance. It is full of unique vintage and modern furnishings that blend beautifully with its characterful exposed stonework and neutral colour palettes. The villa is built on one level, which is particularly useful for those with any mobility issues. The spacious hallway is beautiful with some lovely seating, an ideal spot to relax with your holiday book. The open plan living room is bright and airy with gorgeous furniture, satellite television and a wonderful warm ambience. The kitchen is fabulous with pretty tiling, striking blue cabinetry and excellent appliances. It is perfect for a self-catering stay where the chef in your group can cook up a storm. Alternatively, your barbecue masters can head outside to the brick-built barbecue.  The decor is minimalist in design, with some lovely modern artwork. The villa enjoys one double room with a fully tiled ensuite bathroom. Here you will find a charming sloping ceiling and a comfy double bed, beautifully dressed in crisp cotton and delightful soft furnishings. The bathroom offers a large walk-in shower. Next, there is a characterful single room with exposed stonework followed by a spacious twin. These two bedrooms share the immaculate family bathroom, which boasts both a shower and a bath with an overhead shower. The bedrooms enjoy pretty countryside views. Can Xanet is surrounded by beautiful gardens with towering trees, palms, lush lawns and pretty borders. Guests enjoy total seclusion and wonderful tranquillity, only interrupted by joyful birdsong. Sun loungers and parasols surround the generous swimming pool. Guests enjoy alfresco lounging and dining under a shaded canopy. It is very easy to relax at Can Xanet. You will feel tempted to stay put for a number of days during your holiday, enjoying this serene environment and its wonderful mountain views. Can Xanet is situated between Alcudia and Pollensa in the delightful rural countryside. It is peaceful and serene, yet it is within easy reach of these busy resorts with their fantastic entertainment and cuisine. Guests also enjoy exploring the island’s majestic mountains, sleepy, charming villages and famous caves.  Port d’Alcudia boasts a seven-mile-long Blue Flag beach. Alcudia’s picturesque marina is the waterside setting for many trendy bars and restaurants. It is a bustling hub of activity with dolphin-watching tours and glass-bottomed boats frequently taking visitors out on the crystal clear water. Alcudia Old Town is wonderfully atmospheric for an evening out. It is very romantic with narrow cobbled streets, Romeo and Juliet balconies, authentic cafes, unique boutiques, fabulous fine dining and traditional restaurants, vibrant tapas bars and a superb open-air market. Alcudia’s Roman ruins and museum sit just outside the walls and are very interesting. Alcudia Old Town hosts many cultural events, including traditional fiestas and classical music festivals. Visitors can walk around the entire perimeter of the town’s medieval walls, either on the inside on the Cami de Ronde route or on the outside, using what has now become a delightful garden walk. From the top of the walls, you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Bay of Pollensa. Alcudia Old Town boasts an incredible history. The Romans brought an end to piracy and built the town though Alcudia was then destroyed in the 6th century. The town returned to greatness under the Moors. The walls you see today were added in the early 14th century under the rule of King Jaume II. Visitors enjoy the fabulous Neo-Gothic Sant Jaume Church and the fantastic Sa Bassa Blanca Museum, which is home to amazing contemporary art and stunning gardens.  Pollensa and Puerta Pollensa are a short drive away. Pollensa is a very attractive ancient walled town with stunning architecture, modern art galleries, fabulous boutiques, chic, gastronomic restaurants and a lively market. Puerto Pollensa is wonderful with its dazzling white sand and shallow, warm water. A little further on, Formentor is absolutely spectacular and worth the bumpy drive.  There are a number of vineyards close by where you can taste some delicious wines. These include the excellent Bodegas Can Vidalet at Pollensa, Bodega Butxet and the Mortitx winery, hidden off a winding road between Pollensa and Lluc. It is worth navigating the hairpin bends of the Tramuntana mountain range to find it.  The Serra de Tramuntana was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2011 in an attempt to protect the unique landscape, customs and heritage. The mountains skirt the length of Mallorca’s northern coast. Whether you choose to drive, hike or cycle, there are countless incredible sights to see from the Moorish terraced hillsides dropping to the sea in Banyalbufar to the stunning clifftop viewing points such as the Mirador de Ricardo Roca and Mirador De Ses Barques, where you can see the lovely resort of Soller in the distance. The blissfully quiet village of Galilea is Mallorca’s highest village. La Torre de Verger is an ancient watchtower perched on the edge of a cliff near Banyalbufar on the west coast. It is a popular spot to watch the breathtaking sunsets. La Reserva Puig Galatzo is a fabulous nature reserve deep in the forest at the western end of the Tramuntana. You can hike the pathways and enjoy the wildlife, pools and waterfalls. The adventure park has Mallorca’s longest zip wire as well as rock climbing and Tibetan-style suspension bridges. A trip to the mountain range would not be complete without visiting the beautiful Deia. The village is one of the prettiest in Mallorca, and it has become a bit of a playground for the rich.
