From the front of the property, you are well and truly treated to exceptional unobstructed sea views, and to the right you’ll be able to view Lanzarote’s volcanic rock mountainous landscape. Light and airy throughout, inside the rooms are all modest and comfortably furnished and decorated in neutral colours and pastels to allow in the wonderful light of the island. On the ground floor is the living area complete with comfy sofas and smart TV where you can cosy up during the evening and simply Netflix and chill. And, the all-important Wi-Fi will allow you to share numerous photos of where you are with those back home – the view alone will seriously make everyone jealous!
Step outside to the paved terrace and there is space to sit in the sunshine and work on your tan around the pool. This furnished terrace just outside the living room provides a shady spot to while away the hours and there is also a dining table and chairs for making the most of al-fresco eating come morning, noon and evening. Another enticing spot to while away your time basking in the sunshine is a cute little area at the far end of the pool. Perfect for enjoying a pre-dinner drink or star gazing, there’s nothing to distract you from the view beyond.
Back inside, and still on the ground floor, the kitchen maintains the modest look with all the facilities you need to prepare tasty meals. You’ve also got a partially covered utility area with washing machine and washing line should you need to do bit of laundry. There’s also a double bedroom with en-suite on the lower ground floor. Climb the stairs to the upper level and you’ll discover the master double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The highlight here once again is that view. You’ve access onto a furnished terrace affording a bird’s-eye view over the incredible blue waters, a dreamy place to enjoy that first early morning coffee whilst contemplating the day ahead. The third double bedroom is on this floor too, and comes with its own en-suite bathroom too. For extra comfort on hot days, all the bedrooms have air conditioning to keep them feeling nicely cool on hot balmy nights.
For days out, the Barranco del Agua has easy access to the marina of Puerto Calero where you’ll discover several international restaurants, bars, cafes and designer shops. You’re also handily placed for taking one of the sea excursions that leave the marina for an adventure day – these will whisk you away to nearby resorts and beaches such as Playa Dorada and Papagayo.The resort of Puerto Calero not too far from Arrecife airport and twenty kilometres from the island’s capital is a great destination to soak up the peaceful atmosphere and sea views. Located just south of Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero with its yacht harbour is the place to head if you love the sun, sea and sand.

When it comes to beaches Lanzarote has its fair share of stunners. Although if you don’t want to venture too far, Puerto Calero is only a three-kilometre coastal walk to the main resort town of Puerto del Carmen, which is where the closest beach is. Other than that, you can take your pick from the gorgeous sands and coves of Playa Blanca or travel away from the resorts to discover hidden black sand bays washed by the rolling surf. Whether it’s bustling beaches with plenty of watersports, or peaceful retreats where you can relax with a good book, there is something for everyone. Away from the resorts, beach and surf lovers will find hidden coves, big waves and peaceful seclusion. The island also boasts ideal conditions for gliding over the waves, and Puerto Calero is an excellent base for some water-based activities. You can take your pick from Catlanza catamaran trips, submarine excursions to sport-fishing boat trips. Some diving schools are operating from the marina and offer instruction and guided dives from beginner to advanced level.
Lanzarotes’ attractions are an astonishing volcanic landscape of lava-baked hills, fiery craters and barren desert like terrain. Visiting the Fire Mountains at Timanfaya National Park offers unique moon-like terrain and is one of the reasons the island was declared a Unesco Biosphere Reserve. Other attractions – Cesar Manarique is the man behind most of the island’s most impressive sights and they are nothing short of amazing. Two of his most renowned sites are featured inside lava caves – his house, which is now a museum and landscape garden, and the Jameos del Agua, a large cave boasting bars, a lagoon, a swimming pool (exclusive to Spanish royalty) and a concert hall where performances regularly entertain up to 600 guests. You’ll see examples of his work everywhere during your holiday to Lanzarote. Marvelling the beautiful landscape of Haria – Mirador del Rio – the village of one thousand palm trees is also worth exploring. And, taking a trip to Cueva de los Verdes, the Green caves.
