La Perica Spain
Holiday Home Rental Description
La Perica is an excellent choice for those seeking a relaxing holiday in an idyllic location, close to the beach, with all the amenities of a charming historical village.
Set back from the coastal road and overlooking the serene rocky coastline between Cala d’en Roig and Cala Gamarus, La Perica is a lovely property built to the highest standards.
La Perica is mainly a single story property, but has a unique tower room that has been dedicated for rest and relaxation. A place to escape and enjoy some ‘me time’.
The rest of the bedrooms and living space are on a singular floor below. The living/dining areas flow seamlessly, creating a light and airy family living space, from where you can go straight private pool area and terrace, furnished with comfy outdoor loungers offering shade on the hot summer days. An al-fresco dining area provides the ideal place to enjoy lazy lingering evening meals whilst the children play in the swimming pool.
With such fine accommodation and unrivalled views to enjoy, guests could be forgiven for not wishing to leave. However, the nearby Medieval village of Begur should definitely be on your ‘must see’ place to visit.
If you enjoy long walks and hiking, the abundance of coastal walks are aplenty; whilst the more adventurous may wish to try their hand at the variety of water-sports on offer. It is a tribute to the cleanliness of the water and the abundance of colourful marine life.Tamariu is a truly delightful seaside village, east of Palafrugell. It offers a gorgeous sandy family friendly beach, as well as a string of popular waterfront restaurants and a couple of well stocked minimarkets. Tamariu has retained a lot of its charm compared to many other ‘resorts’ along the Spanish Costas, this is due the nature (good fortune) of its rather rugged (but sublimely beautiful) coastline and the difficulty (impossible) of large mass tourist companies getting transfer coaches up and down the narrow hillside roads. And thank goodness for that, as what we are left with is an utterly charming stretch of coastline occupied by likeminded discerning tourists who respect the local countryside and embrace the traditional restaurants, tapas bars and which can be found in this gem of a village. And getting there could not be easier, as Girona airport is less than an hour’s drive away.
