This four-bedroom, four-bathroom house has been newly built to a design which marries style and sustainability. Located 800 metres from the coastal town of Tamairu, you’ll feel like you’re soaking up nature as soon as you walk through the door. The two-storey property has been built to combine luxury and eco-friendliness, making generous use of stone and environmentally friendly materials in keeping with the surrounding landscape.
Upon arrival at the villa, you’ll make your way into the open-plan kitchen, which can be closed off if you wish by a large sliding door. The kitchen is fully-equipped for all your catering needs, and there’s an array of stylish, high-end appliances for your stay. The property’s cutting-edge design flows through to the living and dining area, which boasts a modern avant-garde interior and is well-lit, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. You can completely open up the windows and be fully connected to the garden and pool area outside. The house was built on the principles that guests should fully enjoy nature, seen in its sustainable features like the solar energy system and rainwater collection and recycling. All this whilst still enjoying ultra-luxury! Outside is a large porch with swinging seats and a barbecue so you can dine alfresco whenever you wish or sit outside with a morning cup of coffee and watch the changing colours of the sky with the sunrise.
The ground floor also holds three bedrooms, each with its own fitted wardrobe and direct access to the garden. The first bedroom has pristine white walls and an abundance of natural light thanks to its large windows. It sleeps four thanks to the bunk bed and trundle bed and also has its own fitted wardrobe. Bedroom two has a double bed, a bathroom with a shower and a fitted wardrobe, and bedroom three is an en-suite also with a fitted wardrobe. Making your way up to the first floor, you’ll find the main bedroom with a king-size bed and its own dressing room. There’s a large bathroom complete with a shower, and the first floor connects to a spectacular terrace with views of the Costa Brava. There’s also an outdoor shower to really connect with nature.The coastal town of Tamariu is arguably a jewel in the Costa Brava. Sandy coves hug its crystal clear waters, and the forest backdrop is nothing short of spectacular. The clear waters attract keen divers, and there’s a dive centre in the local village just waiting to show you Timariu’s underwater beauty. The submerged mountain of Llosa de Cala Nova has created stunning caves and is home to colourful marine life like octopus, lobster and goldfish.
A fifteen-minute drive away is the upmarket resort of Llafranc. Popular with Spanish and Catalan tourists, the town recently revamped its promenade, which is now home to a number of fantastic bars and restaurants. The backdrop is dotted with whitewashed houses and hilltop villas and is the perfect place for a picturesque coastal walk. A favourite place of Salvador Dali, Llfranc also offers summer markets and a number of great fresh seafood restaurants. Nearby is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the Mediterranean. Cap Roig was created in 1927 and holds more than 1,000 domestic plant species as well as fifteen feet tall cacti on its forty-two acres!
The coastal towns and beaches of Costa Brava are connected by countless hiking trails. You can either walk or rent a bike but make sure to stop off at one of the charming towns on your trip for a drink and a bite to eat.
The region’s cultural capital Girona is situated just 58 kilometres from Tamariu, a historical city with medieval walls and narrow winding streets. The Jewish quarter is still intact and is almost exactly as it was 500 years ago. Visitors love to spend the day exploring the cobblestoned lanes, and there’s also a guided tour. If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you can’t miss a trip to Girona. The cathedral featured in season six is perched at the top of a hill and is accessed by a long staircase. Other parts of the city are featured in the show, and it’s easy to see why! The winding streets are almost mystical, and there are walking tours for the mega-fans.
