Hua Hin is a fantastic destination for a holiday. It boasts a five mile beach, the highest density of world class golf courses in Thailand, brilliant restaurants, the King’s Palace and much entertainment. Hua Hin is most famous for its Klai Kangwon Palace which was built in 1928 by King Rama VII. The palace remains an official royal residence. Visitors enjoy sea cruises to the magnificent Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, watersports, visits to Hua Hin’s 1920’s railway station, visits to the fabulous Kaeng Krachan National Park, the Wat Huay Mongkol temple, the Cicada Market and visits to the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand Rescue Centre and Elephant Sanctuary. Families love the Vana Nova Water Jungle.
From the outside, Paradise House looks very palatial. It is enormous. Once inside you will discover numerous entertainment spaces, eight bedroom suites and magical views over green rolling hills, a lake and mountains. The house is built over two very large floors with two of the bedrooms located in a separate poolside house with its own living room. Within the main house there are three giant living areas, one upstairs with a smart television and DVD player for movie nights, another downstairs and another which includes the kitchen and dining area. There is also the poolside house with another living area. Throughout this wonderful home you will find fabulous oversized, colourful paintings by a Danish artist. They draw the eye and add excellent colour splashes. The main living area is brilliantly illuminated. It enjoys lots of wicker furniture and two loungers where you can relax, enjoying the views. Another living area enjoys comfy sofas and a good library. The kitchen diner area is very bright. It is super sociable with a modern kitchen with an island at one end followed by a large dining table and a living space further on. There are so many quiet corners and rooms in Paradise House. You can always find somewhere to enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple or a cup of tea and open up your holiday book. There is a separate laundry room in the adjacent service house. If you wanted to have a maid, chef or chauffeur service during your stay, the service house is ideal for staff.
Paradise House offers eight bedroom suites, six being in the main house. They are all very generous in size. All but one enjoy beautifully dressed kingsize beds where you will definitely sleep well. The other offers comfy twin beds. All bedrooms come with their own ensuite bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are found in the poolside house. They are equally spacious and beautifully presented, enjoying a shared living area. The bedrooms come with sofas or occasional chairs so that you can enjoy your own space. There are two balconies where you will be captivated by the landscape.
The gardens and terraces of Paradise House are amazing. The 18 metre saltwater swimming pool is always a massive hit. The garden pavilion offers some shade if the sunshine gets too much and your barbecue masters will enjoy cooking a feast to enjoy alfresco. You will be very secluded and private at Paradise House.
When you arrive at the Palm Hills Golf Club and Residence Resort you will be met by the Thai House Manager who will show you around. She will be available during your stay. For an extra fee the House Manager can arrange for a daily maid, Thai cooking services, airport transfers, chauffeur or tuk tuk services, Thai massage, excursions and lots more. Paradise House is found on the prestigious Palm Hills Golf Club and Residence Resort, Hua Hin. The resort is three hours south of Bangkok. Hua Hin is known as Thailand’s Royal Beach Resort, having become fashionable after the palace was built in the 1920’s. It is roughly fifteen to twenty minutes to drive to the town centre from Paradise House. Hua Hin offers much entertainment including golf, watersports including kitesurfing, trekking, shopping, markets and beach days. Surrounding Hua Hin are numerous temples, waterfalls, vineyards, nature parks and an elephant sanctuary. Hua Hin enjoys some luxury spas, colourful night markets and a good range of boat trips.
Hua Hin boasts a five mile beach with lots of fresh fish restaurants nearby and watersports. It is great for families. Cha-Am is 20km away, another excellent beach with watersports and delicious Thai street food. Another favourite visit is to the Cicada Market, a delightful weekend market nestled under huge ancient trees. You can buy contemporary art, handicrafts and lots of souvenirs to take home. You can visit the art gallery, beer garden and listen to live music during your visit.
A very popular excursion from Hua Hin is to the Sam Roi Yot National Park. Sam Roi Yot is located three hours south of Bangkok and 60km south of Hua Hin. The Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is phenomenal, boasting the magical Phraya Nakhon Cave with its iconic royal pavilion and enormous chamber, the stunning Kaeo Cave and the Thung Sam Roi Yot Freshwater Marsh. Brimming with spectacular beaches, limestone islands, freshwater marsh, mangrove forests and dreamy viewpoints, the park is home to a rich wildlife. The mountain forests are home to cats, dusky leaf monkeys, geckos, acaques, Malayan porcupines, Indochinese serows, Sunda slow lorises and around three hundred and fifty bird species. There are monkeys at Laem Sala Beach. You might spot spotted crakes, Jack snipes, Swinhoe snipes, steppe eagles, western marsh harriers, sharp tailed sandpipers, long-billed partridges and Baer’s pochard. You may also enjoy seeing dolphins off the coast. Wild elephants can be enjoyed at the Kui Buri Wildlife watching area in the Kui Buri National Park. Kaeng Krachan is another spectacular National Park with fabulous waterfalls. You can bathe in the pools, climb up by the waterfalls and enjoy the scenery.
The Wat Huay Mongkol Temple was home to the popular monk Luang Phor Thuat who was famous for performing miracles. The beautiful temple houses the largest statue of Luang Phor Thuat in Thailand. It enjoys a park setting.
The Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand Rescue Centre and Elephant Refuge is located 45km northwest of Hua Hin. It cares for over seven hundred animals including bears, tigers, gibbons, macaques, loris and birds. There is an affiliated elephant rescue programme where elephants live chain free. You will be introduced to the animals and listen to rescue histories. If you opt for the full day option you will meet and greet the elephants. It is a great centre that adopts and cares for abused, injured and abandoned animals that cannot be released back into the wild.
