Rent Villa Cordovan Winterberry Buckinghamshire
Holiday Home Rental Description
One of the most famous architects of his age, James Wyatt designed a huge range of colleges, churches and country homes across the country, including this Grade-II listed manor house in the Buckinghamshire countryside.
The landscaped gardens and stately proportions are mementoes of the age in which it was built, but if you’re hoping to be transported back to Georgian Britain, you might be a little disappointed by the interior design, which is way more contemporary – and perhaps a little too sparse in places – than the exterior would suggest. Still, we have kind words for the huge kitchen and the grand dining room with a chandelier hanging overhead.
That’s not to forget the impressive outdoor space too, which features a private swimming pool surrounded by loungers that will really come into its own on warm summer days – or even not-so-warm ones if you’re feeling hardy. An early-morning stroll across the lawns would be just as pleasant, too.
If you’re in the mood for a long ramble, the expansive grounds of Stoke Park await close to the home, while Colne Valley Regional Park is a short drive away as well. The local village of Stoke Poges has a golf course and country club only three minutes away in the car, and the royal city of Windsor is less than twenty minutes away, too.
Home truths:
*The home is spread over three floors with no elevator and there are no bedrooms on the ground level
*The host doesn’t accept all-adult groups and uses noise, temperature and motion sensors in the home
*The home is suitable for a maximum of twelve adults and four children
*There’s plenty of space available for parking on the gated driveway
*While some of the bedrooms and bathrooms aren’t photographed, we expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home
