Take the ten-minute walk to the pristine sands of the dog-friendly Par Beach, or head over to the dramatic cliffs of Carlyon Bay or the sheltered bay of Polkerris, which are both also nearby and offer a selection of eateries along the shoreline. For those with a hankering for hiking, there are plenty of lovely walking trails right out of the front door, including some of the most varied stretches of the South West Coast Path. The ever-popular seaside town of Fowey is also within easy reach, and if you fancy getting out on the water itself then some of Cornwall’s best paddle-boarding can be enjoyed at nearby Golant.
