This nautical-themed apartment lies within the pretty harbour town of Weymouth, right on England’s South Coast. On your doorstep, you’ve got pubs, restaurants, beachy cafés, a charming beach hut market and the sweep of sand at Waymouth Beach all within easy walking distance. Those that enjoy a longer walk can follow the Rodwell Trail to Portland, which runs just behind this home and joins the South West Coastal Path. The famously long stretch of Chesil Beach on the Jurrasic Coast is also a short drive or leisurely ramble away.
The apartment is a light-filled spot thanks to numerous skylights. We enjoy the nautical touches to the decor – the little lighthouse candle holder, the rope-stand lamp and bedding in the colours of the sea. An open living, kitchen and dining room keep things social for gatherings in the evening and there’s a little electric stove for a warm glow. A selection of holiday reads and boardgames takes things back to analogue, but the real boon is the location – right in the heart of Weymouth with shops, restaurants and a train station right on your doorstep.
