From the moment you step inside, the spacious living area is full of charm and character. The exposed beams and brick fireplace all create a sense of warmth and cosiness that makes you want to hunker down with a cup of tea and a good book. Equipped with all the essentials you might need to make hot drinks and tasty snacks, this is the perfect room to relax in, curling up on the chesterfield sofas and talking long into the evening with your loved one.
An elegant spiral staircase guides you down into the subterranean bedroom. A one-of-a-kind glass lantern over the atrium allows natural light to pour into this cosy space. The once vaulted cellars have been cleverly converted into a sumptuous bedroom and a modern bathroom. With crisp white sheets on your super king-size bed, this unique room feels private and indulgent, which makes it hard to crawl out of bed in the mornings!  
As soon as you step outside the front door, the great outdoors embraces you. Parkland stretches out in every direction, with pet friendly woodland trails that lead you into the charming Holkham village, The Burnhams and onto Wells-next-the-Sea. The foodie scene is North Norfolk is exemplary, with the nearby Victoria Inn coming highly recommended and plenty of other eateries to choose between, all within a short drive. Poised in the grounds of the impressive Holkham Estate, you only step outside your front door to appreciate the impressive parkland and woodlands that surround you. A beautiful walk through the Estate will bring you to the majestic Holkham Hall, whilst pet friendly woodland trails lead you into the charming Holkham village, The Burnhams and onto Wells-next-the-Sea.
The Holkham Estate is vast, offering 25000 acres of parkland and private gardens. Rich in history, architecture and wildlife, the charms of Holkham Hall are hard to resist! The seat of the Earl of Leicester, this elegant 18th century mansion is still a much loved, lived-in family home which visitors can also enjoy. There are 6 acres of walled garden, originally laid out by Samuel Wyatt in the late 1700’s. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the walking and cycling paths, the lakes, watching the deer, the tree top high ropes course with its swings, bridges and ziplines, rowing boats, canoes and kayaks on the lake and the woodland play area. It is an outstanding family excursion.
Of course, North Norfolk is renowned for its beautiful beaches and the beach at Holkham does not disappoint. It is one of the most unspoilt and beautiful stretches of sand in the country. With a glorious semi-circle basin filling to form a spectacular shallow lagoon at high tides, this beach is famous for the closing scene in Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘Shakespeare in Love’ and is also very popular with birdwatchers, so pack your binoculars if you would like to find some!
For an afternoon of pottering around the shops, Burnham Market and Holt are perfect. Overflowing with unique independent shops, welcoming gastropubs such as the Hoste, cute delis, cafes, and galleries, all around a delightful village green, Burnham Market is incredibly popular. Look out for the August arts and crafts fair with puppet shows and alfresco dining!
