Rent Villa Cotta Wine Cotswolds
Holiday Home Rental Description
Built on the site of a Roman villa and vineyard, this 17th century Cotswolds house is brimming with history. The home has been lovingly restored, and the owners have re-planted over 2000 vines, bringing the vineyard back to life. Alongside English charm inside, there’s a touch of inspiration from the owner’s travels to India and Africa. The Moroccan wet bar is like a cosy alcove in a Riad, and hand-carved chess sets sit alongside teak-wood furniture. There is more than enough room for the group to spread out across six different reception rooms, each with their own charm – a sultry purple cinema room with faux fur beanbags, a cosy sitting room with a suspended wood-burner in the old hearth, or perhaps leaning up against the warm AGA in the kitchen. Outside, mature terraced gardens bloom with fig trees, clematis and roses, and the 14 acres of rural estate are home to a safari tent and barbecue in the wooded glade, an adventure climbing frame for the kids, a hot tub overlooking the Malverns, and patios a-plenty for alfresco dining. Plus, there’s a Valoriani authentic Italian wood-fired pizza oven. If you don’t fancy cooking, the Regency town of Cheltenham has plenty of award-winning restaurants and is only five miles away.
