Gamers will love, love, love the 7-screen TV wall, air hockey, table football, and XBox with 16 controllers, whilst spa lovers can relax and unwind watching a film outside in the heated pool and a built in hot tub with a waterfall feature. This is heated to a balmy 36 degrees all year round! Make the most of the place by firing up the BBQ and pizza oven in the garden and cooking up a feast for the whole gang. Just be sure not to forget to add local Wiltshire ham and cider to complete the meal!
Jagger Barn benefits from a brilliant array of facilities to make your stay memorable, including table tennis on the roof terrace, arcade games, the gorgeous pool and hot tub, and an outdoor cinema screen which you can watch whilst taking a dip.
Jagger Barn is enhanced by several attractive features guests will want to come back to again and again, such as the walled garden, a shimmering stainless steel heated pool complete with bubble jets, exposed wooden beams and brickwork, and a wealth of colourful style touches.
The walled garden lets you enjoy an Italian feast courtesy of your pizza oven, get cosy around the outdoor fireplace (starter pack of wood included), or enjoy a cocktail or two on the roof terrace. Be sure to make time for an outdoor BBQ featuring local fare, and pay a visit to the chickens, alpacas and miniature pigs living within the surrounds of the estate.
Fancy eating out whilst you’re here? A selection of eateries can be found 5 minutes away by car or drive 10 minutes to pick up groceries for cooking at the house. You’ll undoubtedly want to play host when you’ve got a dining area as lovely as the one at Jagger Barn, with seating for 12 guests to enjoy a meal together. For an effortless day out not too far away, hop in the car to the American Museum and Gardens, an unusual attraction around 25 minutes drive away. Set on over 125 acres, an antique dealer and art collector couple founded this huge country estate in the 1960s. Features include a museum of American decorative arts, extensive gardens, an art gallery, craft activities for all ages, and even an on-site deli to enjoy some delectable American-inspired treats and light bites. Situated in lovely Wiltshire and just north of an area of outstanding natural beauty, this delightful home away from home neighbours a cluster of other secluded properties on the grounds of an exclusive private countryside estate. Although everything you need and more is at the property, should you wish to explore the area, you’ll discover the historic market town of Warminster, around a 10-minute drive away. Sitting right on the edge of the famed Salisbury Plain, the town offers a variety of cafés and independent shops, as well as being home to Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds. Or why not drive less than 20 minutes to Trowbridge, where you can discover Trowbridge Museum? A treasure trove of activities and historical information on the region’s textile industry, the museum will interest people of all ages.
Around a 10-minute drive from the property, you’ll find the highly regarded town of Frome. Built on the fringes of the Mendip Hills, Frome is a place of great civic pride for those who call it home – and if you pay a visit, you’ll soon understand why. A hub for local arts and music, the town boasts a beautiful live music venue, two theatres, and stacks of shops and eateries, all at the edge of the glorious Exmoor National Park.
Of course, one of the jewels in the vicinity is the historic city of Bath, a little under a 30-minute drive away. A popular tourist destination for a good reason, here you can visit the spring-fed Roman baths that give the celebrated city its name, enjoy a soak at the unique Thermae Bath Spa, wander among gorgeous Georgian architecture on the city streets, take in the view from Bath Abbey Tower, and even step back in time with a visit to the delightfully genteel Jane Austen Centre, a museum celebrating Bath’s most famous resident of them all, the legendary novelist Jane Austen. And to end your Bath adventure, why not take a peaceful evening stroll along the Bath Skyline Walk, a fantastic spot for nature and sightseeing all in one place?
