A shop-turned-home, Granite Puzzle has employed several innovative and cool design solutions to transform the former retail space into a home. While it’s not the most personal house on our books, we love the privacy it offers. Each of the four bedrooms come with an en-suite bedroom for maximum comfortability. And the kitchen is modern and sleek, perfect for cooking up a storm. It’s located in Clapham which is not central London, but it’s charming in its own way due to its local pubs, restaurants, and village-like feel.

*It’s an old shop with the huge windows overlooking the street – they could do with some curtains for more privacy
* Due to the size of the home, it’s only recommended for a maximum of six guests – the dining table can only sit four people at a time
*It’s split across three levels – be prepared for some up and down
*Clapham is lovely, but it’s not central London – guests looking to be right in the action should look elsewhere
*There’s no home manual at the moment
*When we visited, there was no wifi or TV – the host is installing both as we speak
