Rent House Turquoise Locustberry Battersea
Holiday Home Rental Description
Something about mews houses evokes Dickensian London more than just about any other style, perhaps even more than its imposing GeorgianTownhouse/Apartments. This lovely home – tucked away on a Battersea mews – has that unique spirit. And while the exterior might transport you back in time, the interiors are decidedly modern. The decor is calming and characterised by neutral tones, while wood panelling and natural wood dining chairs lean into the urban beach house vibe, with pops of colour coming courtesy of some well-chosen artwork. We also loved the small garden in the back – perfect for pre-dinner drinks on a warm summer’s evening. And for an even larger green space, the beautiful Battersea Park (arguably London’s best) is only a few steps away. The surrounding area is decidedly residential. However, the newly opened Battersea Power tube station can whisk you into London Bridge in a little over half an hour, while two Overground lines serve Clapham Junction. That said, the upmarket boutiques and fine dining restaurants of Chelsea are only a mile away across the river if you’re happy to explore on foot.
