Set only 50 minutes from Phuket International Airport by car and speed boat, it takes 30 minutes from the airport to Ao Po Grand Marina Pier and 20-minute boat ride from Ao Po Grand Marina Pier via classic Thai tail boat to reach this ultra-gracious retreat.
The journey there makes it all worth it: based on location alone; it should be swarming with tourists. And yet it’s not. Set in the Phang Nga Bay, the island is known for its low-key vibe, its local flavour, wonderful seafood, dense mangrove forests and long stretches of pristine sands.
